Born July 21, 1913, nearr Bridgeport, Ill., she was the daughter of William and Erma Denison Laughlin.

A homemaker, she was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her husband, Kenneth P. Cooper of Terre Haute; two daughters, Sandra Sue Wilson of Avon and Caroline Bolin of Leroy, N.Y.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Two sisters are deceased.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sulllivan. Burial will be in the Bridgeport Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and before services Saturday.

CARTERVILLE - Bernard W. "Brad" Schrader, 94, of Bridgeport, passed away at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2008, in Lawrence Community Healthcare Center.

Brad was born in Lukin Township on Sept. 10, 1913. His parents were Lee and Elsa (Corrie) Schrader.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Florence Laughlin Schrader.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine "Gerry" Brunson Allen Schrader of Bridgeport.

Brad was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bridgeport. He served as an elder for many years. He also served in the U.S. Army. Brad was a former Lions Club member, having served as president. He was a member of the Retired Teacher's Association and a former board member of the LCMH. He was a former school board member for Bridgeport Township High School and was formerly very active in the IEA and the NEA.

Brad was very instrumental in forming the Headstart Program in Lawrence County. He had taught at the following schools, Fremont, Literty, Buchanan, Fillmore and Washington. He also served as the principal for many years at Fillmore and was head basketball coach at several of the schools. He had a total of 36 years teaching and coaching. Brad was generally loved by all his students and he loved them.

He is survived by his wife, Gerry Schrader of Bridgeport; two daughters, Jo Jayne Bradshaw of Carterville and Judy Jeanne Sale of Triora, Italy; grandson and wife, Sean and Debi Bradshaw of Los Angeles; step-children and their spouses, Jim and Cynda Allen of Bridgeport, Ken and Violet Allen of Robinson, Ella Morris of Robinson, Tim and Janet Allen of Vincennes, Ind., Bill and Sheri Allen of Spring Hill, Fla., Don and Ronnie Allen of Oklahoma and Paul Allen of Arizona; 28 step-grandchildren; and 15 great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by his parents, first wife and two brothers, Hubert and Darrell.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2008, in First United Presbyterian Church in Bridgeport. Burial will be in Bridgeport City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
