LIMA

Mary L. Goham Brown, 64, died at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 15, 2007, at her residence in Lima.

She was born April 24, 1943, in Sumter, S.C., to Joseph and Barbara Goham. Her mother preceded her in death. Her father survives in Exeter, Pa. On Aug. 9, 1963, she married Pastor Robert R. Brown, who survives.

Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and attended St. John the Baptist School in Pittston her first eight years of school. She graduated from Pittston High School in 1960. In 1962, she graduated from cosmetology school and also took courses at Fort Wayne Bible Church. She taught Child Evangelism Fellowship classes for 17 years at Lafayette School. She was a member of Cable Road Alliance Church.

Survivors also include two sons, Dale R. Brown and Michael A. (Melissa R.) Brown, both of Lima; two daughters, Linda M. (Mike) Vincent, of Lima, and Sandra K. (Stephen A.) Laurent, of Dayton; a sister, Joan Mizenko, of Pennsylvania; and seven grandchildren, Brandon, Brian, and Chris Laurent, and Molly, Sawyer, Dawson and Katie Brown.

Services will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cable Road Alliance Church. Pastor Ron Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel, and 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
