ALICE C. SANTAMARINA, 84, formerly of Somerset, whose niece and nephew were formerly of FREEHOLD, died Sunday, Aug. 7, at Poet's Seat Health Care Center, Greenfield, Mass. She was born in Philadelphia on June 9, 1921.
She was predeceased her husband, Dr. Leonardo Santamarina, in 1988. Surviving are a niece, Elaine Corrie Bagley of Bernardston, Mass.; and three nephews, William A. Corrie III of Ormond Beach, Fla., Leo Santamarina of Glen Mills, Pa., and Gil Santamarina of New York City.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Unitarian Society of New Brunswick, 176 Tices Lane, East Brunswick, (response: 2Bagleys@comcast.net). Private interment will be in Philadelphia at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker Funeral Home, Greenfield, Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the "Alice Santamarina Memorial Fund" at the Zimmerli Art Museum, Rutgers University, 71 Hamilton St., New Brunswick, NJ 08901-1248.

Francis John Ott, age 80, passed away on Tuesday morning, March 6, 2007, at his daughters home in Marietta, Georgia, six months after a diagnosis of Leukemia, AML..
He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the first son of Bertha Marie and William Joseph Ott. His brother, Bill and sister Bertha are still living and reside in New Cumberland, PA. and Columbus, NJ, respectively. Francis attended St. Helen's School and LaSalle College High School before entering the U.S. Navy in May, 1943. He was a veteran of World War ll and later, the Korean War.
Mr. Ott graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1953 and embarked on a successful management career. He was an Officer and Director of North Hampton Textile Company, Jamestown Mills, Inc. and South Hampton Company. He was later a financial officer with the Burlington County Bridge Commission.
Most important in his life was his family: still surviving wife of almost sixty-one years. Evelyn Marie Ott; his children. Francis Xavier and Deborah Ott of San Diego, California, Michael and Jacquie Ott of Crystal Lake, Illinois, Susan and Alex Burgess of Marietta, Georgia and his deceased son, William Joseph. Also a source of enjoyment and love were his five grandchildren, Zachary, Nathaniel, Olivia, Matthew and Michael.
Mr. Ott was a resident of Mount Holly, New Jersey, for forty-eight years during which he was active in various community, fraternal, educational, church and civic affairs. He had many years of dedicated service to the Mount Holly Rotary Club, Rancocas Valley Regional High School Board, and Sacred Heart Church. He was also an enthusiastic golfer and member of Burlington Country Club who always enjoyed the companionship of his friends on the golf course.

Evelyn M. Ott, 88, passed away peacefully Friday morning January 25, 2008 at Medford Care Center, after a long illness.
She was born in Philadelphia, PA, one of thirteen children born to Eva and Michael Mallon. She is survived by two of those siblings: one sister, Eva Cavanough, and one brother Bob Mallon and his wife Mary Mallon.
She married Francis John Ott on August 17, 1946 and moved to Mount Holly, New Jersey in 1958 where they were both active at Sacred Heart Parish and School for many years. Their marriage was an expression of love and devotion for almost 61 years until his passing in March of 2007.
Evelyn was a faith filled and prayerful woman and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Children, grandchildren, and family times were the joy of her life. She had a special gift for making others feel better and her special smile will be missed.
Their children include Frances Xavier and his wife Deborah, William (deceased), Michael & his wife Jacquie, and Susan & her husband Alex. Continuing her legacy are five grandchildren Zachary, Nathaniel, Olivia, Matthew, and Michael.
A memorial service will be held for both Evelyn and her husband, Francis, at a future date and arrangements are being handled by the PERINCHIEF CHAPELS, Mount Holly, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Medford Care Center, 185 Tuckerton Rd., Medford, NJ 08055, for the benefit of the residents.
