Harold is survived by his beloved wife, Audrey, son Don Reineke of Merced, eight grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Merlyn Reineke, and a daughter, Carol Jean Pfaffenberger. Albert H. Reineke was a chemist for Challenge Milk Co. and a rancher in Modesto. In 1947, he moved to Paradise, where he was self-employed as a building supplier. In 1974, he retired, and two years later he and his wife, Helen, moved to Phoenix to enjoy boating and golf.
Mr. Reineke, 87, died Tuesday in Tempe, Ariz. He was born in Farmington, Iowa. For 20 years, he was a member of the Arizona Masons Lodge No. 2, and he was a lifetime member of Lions International and Elks Lodge.
Helen, his wife of 27 years, preceded him in death, as did a brother, Leslie. He is survived by three daughters, Deborah Lind, Maurine Cain and Judy Matsen; two stepdaughters, Terri Kemen and Nedra Beaver; one stepson, William Peoples; one brother, Harold; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
His services will be held 3:30 p.m. today at Green Acres Mortuary in Scottsdale, Ariz. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, 85014.

Elmer was a Woodland High School teacher for 30 years, and was inducted into the Woodland High Sports Hall of Fame. He drove a Community Care Car, volunteered at the Yolo County Fair, and was a member of Life Pointe Church in Woodland.

He is loved by daughters, Diane Frank (Brian) and Donna Hollis (Marc); son, David Pfaffenberger (Emily); 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Carol Jean, in 1997.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, Aug. 23 from 3 to 6 p.m., at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St. in Woodland. A private graveside service and burial will take place on Monday, Aug. 25, at Monument Hill Memorial Park. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Sept. 20 at 1 p.m., at Woodland Christian Church, 509 College Street.
