VENICE CENTER - Larry S. Saville, 46, of Putnam Parkway, Venice Center, passed away Saturday, Jan 29, 2011, at University Hospital, Syracuse. Larry was born June 17, 1964 in Auburn, a son of Betty (Reeves) Saville and the late Harold D. 'Corky' Saville. He was a lifelong resident of Venice Center and was a graduate of Southern Cayuga Central School. Larry had been employed as a guard with the New York State Department of Corrections, service at the Cayuga Correctional Facility in Moravia for the past 17 years. He was an avid outodoorsman. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Hope (Hoover) Saville; two sons, Steven (Sabrina Stedge), of Union Springs, and Adam (Christine Castor), of Marcellus; his mother, Betty Saville, of Skaneateles; three brothers, Wayne, of Skaneateles, Perry (Mary), of Moravia, and Tracy, of Rochester; two sisters, Yvonne (David) Young, of Moravia, and Colleen (Robert) Feeter, of Auburn; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Harold in 1993; and by his brother, Shawn M. Saville, in 2006. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, at the United Church of Genoa. Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., today, at the Shurtleff Funeral Home, 10177 Route 90, Genoa.
