Marjorie A. Parsons, 84, of Green Ridge Village, Newville, and formerly of Morristown, N.J., died Tuesday May 31, 2011, in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 3, 1927, in Scranton the daughter of Elmer Davis and Beatrice Carpenter Adair. Mrs. Parsons is survived by her husband, Richard H. Parsons, of Greenridge Village.

A graduate in the class of 1946 of Wilson College, Chambersburg, Marge became a clerk at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN in Washington D.C. She had a long career at Bell, N.J., and retired in 1984 from Bell Laboratories.

Marge was a joyful member of the choir of the Hilltop Presbyterian Church in Mendham, N.J., for many years and later became an active member of Big Spring Presbyterian Church, Newville. She also enjoyed singing in the Happy Tones chorale group. Egger Funeral Home, Newville.

Martha Lavina Redewill was born on 14 September 1913 in Arizona.¹ She and Robert (Bob) Calvin Parsons were married on 19 November 1948. She died on 24 November 1996, at age 83, in Los Angeles County, California.¹ She was buried in Avalon Cemetery, Avalon, Los Angeles, California.

Leon Edward Moore, Jr., was born on 5 March 1921 in Archbald, Lackawanna, Pennsylvania. He and Jean Abi Lewis were married on 11 September 1943 in Peckville, Lackawanna, Pennsylvania. He died on 25 September 1992, at age 71, in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. He was buried in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Peckville, Blakely, Lackawanna, Pennsylvania.
