Imogene (Jean) Hires was born on 8 April 1933 in Martinsville, Clark, Illinois.1 She and Theodore (Ted) J. Trost were married on 15 April 1950 in Beaverville, Iroquois, Illinois.2 She died on 17 May 2015, at age 82, in Kankakee Memorial Gardens and Chapel Mausoleum, Kankakee, Kankakee, Illinois.1 She was buried on 21 May 2015 in Clifton Cemetery (Catholic Section 3, Lot 2A), Clifton, Iroquis, Illinois.1,2
Imogene Trost, 82, of Clifton passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Presence St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee.

Imogene was born April 8, 1933 in Martinsville, IL, the daughter of Ira and Edith Campbell Hires. She married Theodore J. Trost on April 15, 1950 in Beaverville, IL and he preceded her in death on March 2, 2015.

She is survived by two daughters, Victoria (Stanford) Giles of Galveston, IN and Kelly (Rich) Caliendo of Lombard, IL; two sons, James (Margaret) Trost of Fairbury, IL and Daniel (Nancy) Trost of Westfield, IN; one sister, Katherine Geheb of Vincennes, IN; eight grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

Beside her husband, Theodore “Ted”, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and one grandchild.

Mrs. Trost was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Clifton, CCW and former Woman of the Year, as well as Royal Neighbors. Imogene was former co-chairman of Clifton Food Pantry and worked at the CFP for thirty years. She enjoyed cards, reading, and fishing.

A Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Clifton. Rev. Vern Arseneau will officiate. Burial will be at St. Peters Catholic Cemetery in Clifton.

Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton.

Memorials may be made to Clifton Food Pantry.
