Robert (Bob) was born Jan. 17, 1936 in Abington, Pa. Bob was the son of Kenneth William and Ruth Brown Haslam, formerly of Jenkintown, Pa. He lived in Bordentown, N.J. prior to moving to the Heron Point retirement community in Chestertown.
Bob graduated from Bucknell University in 1958, was a member of Phi Lambda Theta fraternity where he served as Steward from 1956 to 1958 and attended Colgate Rochester Divinity School, Rochester, N.Y.
Bob was a teacher in New Jersey state and local public education systems for 35 years, improving the lives of people with intellectual disabilities.
He is survived by beloved wife and partner Janet Bull Borden of Chestertown; son David M. of Newmanstown, Pa.; daughter Barbara Lynn, son-in-law Sam Zuvekas, all of Rockville; brother William Kenneth Haslam of Salisbury; and cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. He is predeceased by his sister, Shirley Howe of Hatboro, Pa.
