Edna J. Leadingham was born on 31 May 1932 in Joliet, Will, Illinois.2 She and Donald Glen Brassard were married in 1950. She died on 14 January 2011, at age 78, in Kankakee, Kankakee, Illinois.2 She was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Wilmington, Will, Illinois.2

Edna J. Wright, age 78, of Dwight and formerly Wilmington, passed away Friday January 14, 2011 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.

Born May 31, 1932 in Joliet, Edna was a daughter of the late Thomas and Ethel Fultz-Leadingham. Edna can be remembered for her love of the outdoors and camping. She also loved cooking, partaking in cookouts, and cherishing the time spent with her dog Buddy and most of all her loving family.

Survivors include two sons: Ed Brassard of Peoria and Joe (Teresa) Brassard of Greenup, Illinois; five grandchildren: Derek Brassard of Joliet, Joey (Julie) Brassard of Pontiac, Nicole Brassard of Mattoon and Mark (Megan) Brassard, Robert Brassard and Daniel Crull, all of Greenup; six great grandchildren: Nevaeh Brassard, Hayley Brassard, Kale Brassard, Kaylee Shepherd, Xander Pike, Katie Brassard and Jaydelin Brassard; two sisters: Audrey Brassard of Dwight and Barbara (Bob) Lamont of Morris; the father of her two sons Donald Brassard of Greenup, and numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much including a special nephew Tim Brassard.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents; two great granddaughters: Ionna Shepherd and Kalista Brassard; three brothers: Edward Leadingham, James Leadingham and Arthur Leadingham and one sister Esther Whited.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Friday January 21, 2011 from 9:00AM until time of funeral service 11:00AM at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington. Pallbearers will be: Joey Brassard, Mark Brassard, Robert Brassard, Derek Brassard, James Brassard and John Brassard.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Edna's memory to American Heart Association, 208 South LaSalle Street, Suite 1500, Chicago, Illinois 60604

Funeral services and arrangements have been made under the direction and care of Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home in Wilmington. (815/476-2181.)
