3 Life-time county resident Jack A. Welch, age 82, of Ferndale, was taken to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 5.
He was born in Bellingham on August 9, 1928 and graduated from Bellingham High School in 1947.
He married Twila Olson on February 8, 1948 and was employed at the Texaco Refinery in Anacortes for twenty-six years, retiring in 1983.
Jack's priority was spending time with his family and he attended Northside Community Church. He also enjoyed reading, hunting and fishing.
Preceded in death by his mother, Muriel Calhoun, and stepfather, Walter.
Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, June 11, at 11:30 a.m. at Northside Community Church, intersection of Hannegan and Kline Roads. Private family burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park.
