She was born Sept. 3, 1978, at St. Louis, the daughter of Judy (Saums) and David Stepp.

Carrie graduated fron McKendree University in Lebanon with a degree in Elementary education and was the current pre-school teacher at Marie Schaefer Elementary School in O'Fallon. She attended Christ Church in Fairview Heights. Carrie absolutely adored her two daughters and loved spending time with her entiire family. She also enjoyed running and was an animal lover.

She is survived by her parents of Trenton; her daughters, Savannah Schifferdecker and Jaidyn Schifferdecker; a brother, Curt (Paula, nee Schomaker) Stepp of Auburn, Washington; nieces and nephews, Carter, Madelyn, Cooper and Elizabeth Stepp; and special friend, Glen Lammers of Breese.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Amy Stepp; and grandparents, Ermel (Christy) and John Saums and Helen (Poe) and Leon Stepp.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton. Pastor Cederic Irby will preside at the 11 a.m. service on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Trenton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, plants and other gifts, memorials may be made to Savannah's and Jaidyn's education fund (please make checks payable to Judy Stepp), and they will be received at Moss Funeral Home, 105 S. Main St., Trenton Il. 62293.
