Russell Edwin Kemmerer was a Welin Boat and Davit Company Employee.4 Russell E. Kemmerer, 74, of 2729 Park Ave., died yesterday (Dec. 8, 1968) at Muhlenberg Hospital, Plainfield.

Born in Perth Amboy, he had lived here 20 years. He retired in 1959 as a millwright after 17 years with the Titanium Division of the National Lead Co., South Amboy. He was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church here and the South Plainfield Senior Club and was an Army veteran of World War I.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Sadie Lear Kemmerer; two daughters, Mrs. A. E. DeFillipo of 235 Fairview Ave. and Mrs. Joseph F. Colucci of 23 Brett St., Piscataway; two brothers, Roy Kemmerer of North Lavallette and Harold Kemmerer of Perth Amboy; one sister, Mrs. Chris Knudson of Fords; and two grandsons.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m.Thursday at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Charles R. Mingle officiating. Interment will be in Somerset Hills Cemetery, Basking Ridge. Friends may call at the Memorial Funeral Home, Plainfield, tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. It is requested that flowers be omitted in lieu of same donations to the St. Stepghen's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
