Her family were LDS members, so she was born under the covenant. When she was born her Uncle, William Perschon, said that "This baby has a strong will power and determination. If used in the right way it can really be a force for good." June grew up using this influence in the right way. She graduated from the University of Utah with a BA in Education. She taught Junior High School for 2 years then attended BYU where she upgraded her skills to teach the primary grades. Thereafter, she taught several years in the Granite School District to the younger children. A short time later she met her husband-to-be, Noel J Becar, at the Hill Cumorah Pageant in Palmyra, New York. They married in the Salt Lake Temple for time and eternity on June 30, 1954. At this time she became a wonderful home maker and also began teaching young children in Primary. She worked in the Primary for most of her adult life. She was a good influence to many children who remember her to this day. June was greatly beloved by all and will be terribly missed.
June was preceded in death by her oldest son, Noel J (Nina), her parents, Arthur H. Indoors she was an avid collector, reader, crib player, diarist, superb cook and passionate rooter for "her" Theoron and the Calgary Flames. Her enjoyment of sports often led her outside where she participated in baseball, curling, fishing and camping as well as riding a steer in a rodeo in her younger days. An outgoing individual with a great sense of humor, Puggie made friends wherever she went, leaving many to cherish her memory.
Puggie is survived by her children, Dianne (Al) Yarmoloy of Claresholm, Cameron (Colleen) Wintemute of Lethbridge, daughter-in-law Laurel Wintemute of Calgary. Grandchildren, Tamara (Derek- Alex, Zach) Connick, Jennifer (Rob-Dylan, Josh) Wachtler, Chad )Julie-Quinn) Yarmoloy, Ryan (Kerri- Ryker) Trotter, Marci (Wes, Kayla, Hayley, Jason, Janelle) Stockton and Scott Wintemute. A Celebration of Puggie's life will be held in early September.
In lieu of flowwers, donations to a charity of one's choice would be greatly appreciated.

A long and arduous journey came to an end when Al Yarmoloy, 73, slept peacefully blessed with tender care at the Auxiliary Hospital in Claresholm. Allison Jimmy Yarmoloy was born Dec. 26, 1939 and passed way Aug. 16, 2013.
Al was predeceased by his son Quinn; parents Peter and Nadia; in-laws Adrian (Junior) and Magdaline (Puggie) Wintemute; brother-in-law Larry Wintemute; and nephew Cameron Wintemute.
Al leaves a multitude of memories with his wife of 45 years, Daryl (Dianne); son Chad (Julie); grandsons Christopher Thomas and Quinn Yarmoloy; sister Gloria Canham and her family in Dallas; brothers-in-law Raymond Canham and Cam (Colleen) Wintemute; sisters-in-law Laurel Wintemute and LeeAnn Duce; as well as treasured uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Al was especially fond of his nephews and nieces who reciprocated in kind to their “Uncle Hero”: Ryan (Kerri - Ryker) Trotter, Scott Wintemute, Tamara (Derek - Alex, Zach) Connick, Jennifer (Rob - Dylan, Josh) Wachtler, Michelle (Tyler Russell) Gibb, his special birthday girl, Marci (Wes - Kayla (McCauley Brown), Hayley, Jason, Janelle) Stockton, as well as many “on loan” from a beautiful extended family.
Al received his Bachelor of Education degree with honours from the University of Alberta. His first teaching assignment was in the small town of Bruce where well-known cowboy, Ernie Dorin, introduced him to rodeo (as a spectator sport only!) and curling, which would become his life long passion.
From Bruce, Al went to Wainwright where he taught for several years, acted as vice-principal, was president of the ATA local, coached basketball, track and field and, of course, curling. Gifted with a beautiful singing voice and a great sense of rhythm, he also enjoyed being the drummer in the band “Nahanni.”
Al’s career also took him to Acme and Tofield before moving to Willow Creek Composite high school where he worked until retirement. Many teacher evaluations describe him as a “master teacher.” He was most pleased when two of his students scored marks of 100 per cent on the Mathematics 31 provincial exam.
Ever a stalwart supporter of public education, Al was active in his professional association, holding local council positions for 30 terms, attending several ARAs and serving as southwest region professional development consultant for nine years.
Settling in Claresholm where he was an affiliate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 41 made Al happy as he loved southern Alberta. He also very much enjoyed coaching curling for many years, often taking rinks to provincial competitions. It was during this time that he was offered a position with Curl Canada which would have involved relocation to the East but, being a prairie boy at heart, he simply couldn’t come to grips with that. Each winter, the household was filled with the sounds of “Sweep! Sweep!” as Al found immense pleasure in watching his “kids” curl both nationally and internationally.
Although a modest person, “Big Al” was an active, multi-talented and very hard-working man who excelled not only in his career, but in a wealth of hobbies, fishing being his favourite. An avid reader of scientific journals and newspapers and ardent fan of CBC Radio, he was very passionate about politics, a discussion one entered at one’s own peril.
Al had a quick wit and great sense of humour, frequently playing jokes on colleagues and family. His honesty, friendliness, hospitality and generosity will be remembered. Delivering fresh rhubarb, apples and CNIB audio tapes to the Porcupine Hills Lodge plus a weekly trip to the Claresholm Food Bank with donations brought him great joy. Nothing made him happier than preparing “banquets” in his home for guests (who often preordered their menu requests) or fish fries at his little piece of Eden, Gray Creek on Kootenay Lake where the family spent thirty wonderful summers and made many lasting friendships.
As we bid sad farewell to this amazing gentleman, the family wishes to express their most sincere gratitude to all who shared Al’s journey, medical professionals and all clinic and hospital staffs, the Willow Creek Continuing Care Center, family, neighbours, friends and local businesses who have been so very kind and helpful throughout this trying time.
In lieu of flowers, we know Al would have appreciated donations to his favorite charity, the Claresholm Food Bank c/o Box 520, Claresholm, T0L 0T0. Condolences may be forwarded to lady.dyarmoloy@shaw.ca.
