She was born in Duluth on August 12, 1932 and lived in the Duluth, Superior area until moving to Florida in 1976. At the time of her death, she operated a property management business. She was a life member of the Ladies Eagles Auxiliary and a member of First Baptist Church of Tarpon Springs. She enjoyed playing bingo, games, and cards.

She was preceded in death by her husband John C. Maillis, her son Robert J. Reno, her parents James and Mabel Earls, brothers Ray, James, Clifford, and John, and sisters Irene Earls and Alena Dahl.

She is survived by another son Michael (Debbie) Reno of Hudson, Fla., daughter-in-law Gloria Reno of Hawthorne, Wis., six grandchildren, a sister Wanda (Michael) LeDoux of Duluth, 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Michael James Ledoux, Jr., was born on 31 July 1942 in Duluth, St. Louis, Minnesota.1,2 He died on 2 April 2009, at age 66.1 He was buried in Mount Salem Cemetery, Mahtowa, Carlton, Minnesota.13
Michael James Ledoux, Jr., was a Director of Security and Maintenance in Minnesota Power. Michael J. LeDoux, Jr., 66, Carlton, died peacefully on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at his home in the arms of his wife and son.

He was born on July 31, 1942 in Duluth to Michael, Sr. and Wanda LeDoux.

Michael grew up in Duluth and graduated from Denfeld High School. He worked on the Rescue Squad and also served as a reserve sailor in the U.S. Merchant Marines. On July 22, 1972, Michael married Lucia LeKander in Duluth. Michael worked for Minnesota Power as the Director of Security and Maintenance from 1976 until the age of 50 when he retired. While working for Minnesota Power, he lived in Oliver, Wis., where he served as Deputy Sheriff, Fire Chief, and Mayor.

Michael was also a lifetime member of the Superior Trap and Gun Club where he also taught Hunters Education Courses to area youth for over 20 years. After retiring from Minnesota Power, Michael and Lucia moved to Wascott, Wisconsin where they owned and operated "The Golden Chipmunk" Resort for 10 years. They later moved to Blackhoof Township where Michael enjoyed building custom motorcycles and portable sporting clays machines. He won several prizes for his motorcycles at Custom Car & Bike Shows. Michael was a lifelong hunter, a lifetime member of the NRA and also had been a member of the Thunderbird Motorcycle Club. He was known for his deep love for people and for helping anyone in need without condition.

Michael is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lucia; parents, Michael, Sr. and Wanda LeDoux of Duluth; son: Brandon (Angela) LeDoux of Barnum; two daughters, Michelle (Mark) Freitag of Duluth and Brenda Berg of Mankato; two step-sons, Kent (friend Jill and boys) Anderson of Duluth and Allen (Julianne) Anderson of Tennessee; step-daughter, Danette Anderson of Superior; five grandchildren, Emily LeDoux, Larry Lawrence, Taylor Shultz, Mallory Berg, and Leah Berg; three step-grandchildren, Taylor Anderson, Caitlin Anderson, and Rebecca Anderson; great granddaughter, Chloe Lawrence; mother-in-law, Elsie LeKander of Barnum; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mercy Hospital and Home Care and in particular Dr. Brandli, and Dr. Kamp for their wonderful care and respect given to Michael.
