2 A dear mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend Myrna Chapman died suddenly and unexpectedly at home on Mother's Day, May 13, 2012. The hearts of many are saddened by her departure, but know that it is fitting that a tender Mother and Grandmother would go on a day set aside for Mother's, and on Sunday - a day to honor our Lord.
Myrna & her husband raised a wonderful family and she was a huge part of the rearing of her grandchildren. After many years of tending and caring for them, she was encouraged by a friend in 1996 to apply for a position at Salt Lake Community College in the Disability Resource Center. On Sept 23, 1996 she began as a notetaker for students at the college, later becoming a service provider. A loyal and dedicated employee, she was still employed at the college at the time of her passing. Her service to students with disabilities has been valuable to their education.
