Thelma Roselphia Booth was born on 2 September 1910 in Michigan.1,2 She and Orval Carl Finkbeiner were married about 1941. She died on 11 November 2003, at age 93, in Theodore, Mobile, Alabama.2
Thelma Roselphia Booth was educated in Eastern Michigan University Music.3 SANDUSKY -- Thelma R. Finkbeiner, 93, of Sandusky, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003 at Allen Memorial Home in Mobile, Alabama.

She was born Sept. 2, 1910 in McGregor, MI the daughter of the late Gilbert and Jennie (Campbell) Booth.

She was a lifelong area resident, a graduate of Sandusky High School, and earned her Bachelors Degree in music from Eastern Michigan University.

Thelma married Orval Finkbeiner in Sandusky in 1941. He preceded her in death June 4, 1967.

She taught music in Yale Community Schools and for many years in the Sandusky School District. She was a active member in the RLDS Church, the Eastern Star and the McKenzie Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by her son, Doug (Cathy) Finkbeiner of Lapeer; her daughter, Diane (Zell) Ansley of Alabama; her special friend, Barbara Temple of Sandusky; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Marsh Funeral Chapel, Sandusky from 1 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m. today.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Marsh Funeral Chapel, Sandusky. Barent Eliason will be officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Sandusky.

Memorials may be made to the Alzeheimers Foundation or the donor's personal choice.

Arrangements are by Marsh Funeral Chapel, Sandusky.

Beulah Margaret Booth Bowsky, 83, died Jan. 5 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. She was born Sept. 22, 1917, in McGregor, Mich., the daughter of Robert and Mamie Kidney Booth. She married Russell "Bud" Bowsky. He died September 1999. A resident of Great Bend, coming from Sandusky, Mich., she was the owner of Distinctive Drapery. Survivors include four sons, Jim Bowsky of Colorado, Bill Bowsky of Kansas, Roger Bowsky of California and Jack Bowsky of Oregon; one daughter, Judy Cook-Bowsky of Missouri; two brothers, Loren Booth of Kansas and Larry Booth of Michigan; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, William Booth and one sister, Goldie Booth. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hackers Funeral Home in Sandusky, Mich. Burial will be at Zion Cemetery in Michigan. Memorials are suggested to the Reform Church of Latter-day Saints, in care of the funeral home. Great Bend (Kan.) Tribune, Jan. 9, 2001.

Loren C. Booth, 75, Leavenworth, Kan., formerly of Independence, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Veteran's Administration Medical Center of Leavenworth.

Mr. Booth was born Dec. 31, 1927, in Sandusky, Mich., to Robert and Mamie Booth, and spent his childhood in Michigan. Following high school, he served in the Merchant Marines, from which he was honorably discharged. He went on to attend Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa, and the University of Iowa, where he received his bachelor's degree in business. He worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. and later taught for several years at Truman High School until his retirement in 1976. After retiring, he started an insurance business and a tax service. He served as a substitute teacher and spent many years helping his fellow veterans through their recovery process at the DDE VA Medical Domicilliary. He was also the manager of the Catholic Social Service Reveille House, a home for recovering veterans. He and his wife, Janet Luff, met at Graceland College and were married in 1951 and had two children. He later married Nelda Tarwater. Both wives preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Beulah Bowsky, and a brother, Bill Booth.

His survivors include a brother, Larry Booth, Flint, Mich.; two daughters, Cherie Vrentas, Lee's Summit, and Shelle Cox, Lenexa; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Barnett-Larkin-Brown Funeral Home, Leavenworth. Friends may call from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
