WINTERMUTE, Jean Lucille - Suddenly at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Friday, September 17, 2010, Jean Lucille Wintermute (nee Jackson) of Belmont, in her 89th year. Predeceased by her husband, Huron Edward Wintermute (2004). Cherished mother of Edwin Wintermute and wife, Linda, of Belmont, Norma Marchant and husband, Bill, of Baddeck, Nova Scotia, and Donna Ellis and husband, Edward, of Port Stanley. Proud grandmother of Heather Douglas (& Warren) of Whitby, Brent Wintermute (& Rachael Knight) of Belmont, Marion Marchant (& Al Amirault) of Halifax, Nova Scotia, David Marchant of Vancouver, British Columbia, Stephanie Newcombe (& Jonathon) of Raglan, New Zealand, Jennifer Martin (& Keith) of Summerland, British Columbia, Michael Cornelissen (& Lisa) of Aurora, and Mark Cornelissen (& friend, Courtney Zylinski) of Montreal, Quebec. Great Grandmother of nine - Emma Douglas, Luc Wintermute, Christiane, James, and Hayden Newcombe, Brandon Bartolomeoli, Alistair and Evelyn Martin and Amelia Cornelissen. Survived by her sister, Hazel Marr, and predeceased by sisters Marjorie Wilcox and Loreen Hunter. Jean was a life long member of the Belmont United Church. She proudly represented Canada in international competition as the Canadian Lawn Bowling champion several times in the 1980's. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Belmont United Church on Tuesday, September 28th from 7 - 9 pm. The memorial celebration of Jean's life will be held at Belmont United Church on Wednesday, September 29th at 1:30 pm, with Rev. Janelle Towle officiating.
