ANDREW BELLES is a native of Canada, born in 1830, moved to Illinois in 1858, and came to the township of Dayton in 1863. He settled on section 26, where he now resides; but lived ten years on section 22. Since coming to the State he has been engaged in farming and lumbering, and has just finished cutting and hauling the last pine timber in his section of the county. He was married in 1856 to Miss Lucinda Bailey, who died in 1863, leaving a family of three children. Was again married in 1865 to Miss Annie Hall, a native of Canada, by whom he has two sons. Mr. Belles enlisted in 1864 in the Tenth Michigan Infantry (Co. K), and served to the close of the war. He has held the office of commissioner of highways several years.

She married Jamed Dawson Daily May 29, 1935 in Armada. He died March 26, 1975. Mrs. Daily graduated from County Normal. She worked as a school teacher at the Clifford, East Dayton, and Smith Schools. She was a member of the Kingston United Methodist Church, the Domino Club, the Ada Circle and the Knitting Class. She enjoyed sewing and playing dominoes.
Survivors inclde her children, James (Bev)Daily of Kingston, MaryyEm (Bill) Kleinfelder of Saginaw, Leland R. (Sharon) Daily of Kingston, Paul (Mary Ann) Daily of Caro; grandchildren, Greg (Linette) Daily, Janelle (Frank) Hester, Heidi (Joel) Yates, Lisa Daily, Troy (Mary Ann) Daily, Todd Daily, Trent Daily; five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Dale Stokes and brtoher, Verald Stokes.
Funeral services was held 11 am Wednesday, February 25 in Kingston United Methodist Church with Rev. Margaret Passsenger officiating. Interment was in East Dayton Cemetery, Caro. Pallbearers for Mrs. Daily were Todd, Troy, Trent and Greg Daily, Bill Dleinfelder and Albert Ruggles. Memorials may be made to the Kingston United Methodist Church. Arrangements were by Krans Funeral Homne of Kingston.
