Nancy was born on August 20, 1939, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Wendell III and Doris (Davis) Heidemann. She was raised and attended school in Cedar Falls. She worked various trades during her life which included waitress, farmhand, Toyland at the Naval Exchange in Hawaii, and most recently as a caregiver and for FEMA. On November 9, 1999, she was united in marriage to Ed Christensen in Las Vegas, Nevada. Nancy was very artistic and enjoyed beading, painting, ceramic, and was a very talented seamstress where she made several dresses and suits for weddings and baptismal garments. She also loved reading, soap operas, entertaining family friends, having her feet rubbed and her face licked by her dogs. Her children and grandchildren made her glow.

Nancy's memory is honored by her husband, Ed Christensen of Warrensburg, Missouri, eleven children, Steven (Janice) Johnson of Fredericksburg, Iowa, David (Dawn) Johnson of Fredericksburg, Iowa, Ross (friend Sandy Dietz) of Waverly, John (Lois) Johnson of Waverly, Robert (fiancé' Krista Lee) Hool of Waverly, Johanna (friend Frank Darcourt) Hool of Austin, Texas, Barbara (Randy) Briner of Stoutland, Missouri, Tracey Geren of Topeka, Kansas, Kelly Owens of Savanah, Missouri, Michelle Christensen of Warrensburg, Missouri, and Lisa Christensen of Warrensburg, Missouri, five sisters, Jean (Larry) Sackett of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Alice Franklin of Houston, Texas, Doris Ann (James) Jansen of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Merri (Golden) Reninger of Weatherford, Texas, and Rosalie (John) Hiatt of Warrensburg, Missouri, four brothers, Fredrick (Karen) Heidemann of Azle, Texas, Jerald (Lorie) Heidemann of Tripoli, Iowa, John (Sue) Heidemann of Davenport, Iowa, and Joe Heidemann of Waverly, Iowa, sixteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 18, at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly will Pastor Phil Olsen officiating. Jerry was born on June 1, 1948, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Wendell and Doris (Davis) Heidemann. He was raised in Cedar Falls and Janesville graduating from the Janesville High School in 1967. During high school and for a short time afterwards Jerry worked for Kay Manufacturing in Janesville. On August 15, 1969, Jerry was united in marriage to Lorie Bunger at the Faith United Church of Christ in Tripoli. The couple made their home in Tripoli and Jerry went to work for Engineered Equipment in Waterloo. In 1972, he went to work at John Deere in Waterloo retiring from there in 2004. Jerry then worked for Ryder Logistics in Waterloo before moving to Ninilchik, Alaska in 2005, where he worked at GLM. In 2007, they moved to Biddle, Montana where Jerry was employed for nine months with Five Star Roustabouts returning to their home in Ninilchik, Alaska in 2008. Jerry then went to work for Peak Oil Services until his health forced him to retire in 2009.
Jerry's enjoyments included, camping, socializing around a fire, cooking, traveling, woodworking, fishing for Halibut and Salmon, moose hunting, four wheeling, and raising laying hens, however, what Jerry enjoyed most was spending time with his family. He was a member of Faith United Church of Christ in Tripoli where he served on the church council and taught Sunday school. He was a member of Local UAW 838 in Waterloo.

Jerry's memory is honored by his wife, Lorie Heidemann of Ninilchik, Alaska, his son, Jeff (Jan) Heidemann of Tripoli, two daughters; Jennifer (Bruce) Gronemeyer of Tripoli and April (Tom) Arns of Waverly, nine grandchildren; Kailey and Kristian Heidemann, Noah, Bethanie, Zoey, Mallorie, and Jonah Gronemeyer, and Zachary and Isabella Trafelet, five sisters; Jean (Larry) Sackett of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Alice Franklin of Houston, Texas, Doris Ann (James) Jansen of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Merri (Golden) Reninger of Weatherford, Texas, and Rosalie (John) Hiatt of Warrensburg, Missouri, three brothers; Frederick (Karen) Heidemann of Azel, Texas, John (Sue) Heidemann of Davenport, Iowa, Joseph Heidemann of Waverly, Iowa, and a brother-in-law, Ed Christensen of Warrensburg, Missouri. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Nancy Christensen.

A celebration of Jerry's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at the Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor Marvin Talamantez officiating. Jerry has been cremated and the family will take his ashes to Alaska after the service. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 29, at the Funeral Home in Waverly where the family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the family.
