WATERLOO - Mary C. Suhr, 95, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, April 11, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.
She was born April 18, 1910, in Butler, Minn., Ottertail County, daughter of Henry Jason and Burma Eliza Goodsell. On Oct. 22, 1927, she married Don Goodsell in Charles City, and they later divorced. On April 11, 1936, she married Claude Belden Wilson in Clarksville. He preceded her in death. On Nov. 15, 1952, she married Oscar Suhr. He died in 1966.
Mrs. Suhr was employed at Lamson Hotel and the Hickory House Restaurant.
Survivors include three sons: Westley Goodsell of Yuma, Ariz., Russ Goodsell of Evansdale and Edward John Wilson of Waterloo; a daughter, Maxine Lincoln of Strawberry Point; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Julia Ginther of Manchester; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, with burial in Garden of Memories. Public visitation 4 to 7 p.m. today at the chapel.
A memorial fund has been established.

Julia Iola was born on February 7, 1916, at home in Shell Rock, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Burma (Goodsell) Achilles. She was raised and educated in the area graduating from Finchford High School in 1935. Julia was united in marriage to Roger J. Ginther on August 18, 1937, at Janesville, Iowa. She was a homemaker and Roger and Julia made their home in Waverly and Waterloo. Roger passed away in 1983. Julia has lived in Manchester the past four years. Julia passed away at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester on Wednesday, May 17, 2006, following a brief illness. She was ninety years of age. Julia?s hobbies included making rugs, cross word puzzles, and reading. Survivors include her children, Kenneth (Cheryl) Ginther of Marion, Charles (Carol) Ginther of New Hartford, Julia Perry of Manchester, Iola (Ross) Schneiderman of Swea City, Vera (Robert) Smith of Manchester, Kathleen (Melvin) Bailey of Evansdale, Roger (Susan) Ginther of Waterloo, and Dale (Carletta) Ginther of Oelwein; one half-sister, Kathryn Moore of Waterloo; twenty-four grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and her caretaker, Shelly Chapman of Manchester. Julia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roger J.Ginther; one daughter, Laura Conwell; two still-born daughters; two sisters, Mary Suhr and Martha Hodges; two brothers, Fred and Clarence Achilles; and special friend Ercel Hinck.

Services for Roger John Ginther Sr., 74, of the Good Neighbor Nursing Home, Manchester, formerly of Waterloo, will be 1 p.m. Friday at O'Keefe & Towne-Carter & Waychoff Funeral Home. Mr. Ginther died Tuesday morning at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
He was born Sept. 3, 1910, at Waverly, the son of Millard and Laura Higgins Ginther. He married Julia Achilles Aug. 18,1937, and they were later divorced. He was employed by Herrick's Refrigeration, and was later a dispatcher for Yellow Cab Co. He served in the Army during World War II. Survivors include four sons, Kenneth of Cedar Rapids, Charles of New Hartford, Roger Jr., of Waterloo and Dale of Independence; five daughters, Mrs. Laura Conwell of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Julia E. Perry of Manchester, Mrs. Lola Schneiderman of Bancroft, Mrs. Vera Cornwell of Manchester and Mrs. Kathleen Bailey of Evansdale; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.

Julia was born January 23, 1944 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Roger and Julia (Achilles) Ginther.
She was a homemaker-taking good care of her family. She enjoyed Bingo, making crafts and time spent at the Delaware Senior Adult Center. She also enjoyed her visits to the Dairy Queen.
A Memorial fund has been established by the family.
