Went With Plymouth County Contingent to Camp Gordon and Later to Camp Merritt and Went Overseas in September to the Front.
Mr. and Mrs. W.S. McKibbin, of Emmett, Nebraska, received the sad news on the 26th of November of the death of their son, Everett L. McKibbon, somewhere in France. The message was sent from the war office at Washington D.C., and briefly stated that Everett L. McKibbon had died on October 8th, from broncho-pneumonia.
Everett L. McKibbon left his home to go into the service last July when he went with a large contingent of Plymouth county men to Camp Gordon. They were later transferred to Camp Merritt, N.J., and left for overseas in September.
Everett L. McKibbon was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W.S. McKibbon. He was twenty-two years old, last April. He grew up in Lincoln township, Plymouth county, helping his parents to manage and work the farm until March 1st, 1918. He went with his parents to Holt county, Nebraska, where he was engaged in cattle ranching when he was inducted into the service.
He leaves to mourn his death his parents and younger brothers, William J., and sister, Gladys, who are still at home with their parents.
Everett L. McKibbon was a young man of fine physique and many good qualities, a good son and brother. His death is greatly lamented by all who knew him, as well as his parents.

Mrs. John Bainbridge
Mrs. John Bainbridge, 79, of Kingsley died Sunday at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be at 10am Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Kingsley. The Rev. Gordon Watson will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery, rural Hinton, under direction of the Michaelson Funeral Home of Kingsley.
Mrs. Bainbridge, the former Gladys Pearl Sherman (McKibbin), was born Sept., 19, 1902 in Lincoln Township, Plymouth County.
She was married May 27, 1948, in Kingsley. She was a lifelong Plymouth County resident and was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Survivors include the widower; a step-daughter, Mrs. Albert (Maxine) Lindgren of Kingsley; three stepsons, Harland and Vance, both of Kingsley, and Russell of Roswell N.M.; 10 stepgrandchildren, and 20 stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was also married to Fred Harrison buried this cemetery.

Fred Harrison
Fred Harrison, 51, a lifelong resident of Hinton, passed away at the Sacred Heart hospital here after a short illness.
Mr. Harrison was born May 21, 1904 in Hinton. He farmed for many years there and his home at present was on Route 2, Hinton.
Anderson Funeral Home in Sioux City has charge of funeral arrangements which are set tentatively for Saturday afternoon at the Harrison home near Hinton.
Survivors include the widow Evelyn; a son, Fred S. of Hinton; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred McKibbin of Kingsley and Mrs. Gladys Gardner of Bern Oregon.

Funeral services for Fred Harrison, 51, Rt. 2, lifelong resident of the Hinton Community who died Wednesday at a Lemars hospital, were at 2 p.m. Monday at the farm residence Rev. F. M. Lay, pastor of the United Brethren Evangelical at Moville, officiated. Burial was in Lincoln Township Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Knute Brumberg, William Dixon, Nell Sorenson, Julius Martin, Clarence Krause, and Louie Sager.
The body was taken to the residence Saturday afternoon from The Anderson Funeral home, Sioux City.
He was married to Evelyn Edith Spencer.

In Sioux City Sunday Miss Beverly June Harrison, daughter- of Fred Harrison of Hinton and Mrs, Gladys Harrison of Sioux City, died Sunday in a Sioux City hospital, after a year's illness.
She was born March 30, 1930, in Sioux City.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday in Wesley Methodist church in Sioux City with Rev. Victor Schuldt officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln township cemetery.
Miss Harrison was a pupil in Le Mars public schools last year but had not been in school this year.
