John Goddard was elected elderman for the 2nd ward at Wessington Springs, S.D., in 1925, serving on the water, finance and sewer committeees. He wasappointed manager of the Hayes Lucas Lumber Company yard there in 1926, replacing Robert C. Cudd, who was transferred to Richland Center, Wisconsin. John served as advisor to the local chapter of the Modern Woodmen of America in 1925 and as elector for the Royal Neighbor Lodges of Wessington Springs in 1927.

Cara Marie Bauer
Cara Marie Bauer was born Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 7:59 a.m., to Dan and Jenna Bauer, Rhinelander, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Wausau. She weighed 3lbs and was 15 1/2 inches long. She passed peacefully in the arms of her family and was welcomed into heaven shortly after she was born.
Cara is deeply loved by her mommy and daddy; big brothers, Blake, Eli and Isaac; grandparents, Dave and Barb Bauer, Florence; grandmother, Kathy Heise, Rhinelander; great-grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and many others. Her life was a brief gift to all of them and they will hold her in their hearts until they can hold her in their arms once again in heaven.
