Rev. Graves of Binghamton will officiate.

Mr. Van Gorder was a member of St Paul's Methodist church in West Endicott, the Loyal Order of Moose, Owego Lodge and the Newark Valley Masonic Lodge No. 614.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Reid Van Gorder, three sons, George A. of Newark Valley; Richard of Endicott and Robert in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Jane Tull of Berkshire, N.Y., Mrs. Mary Cook of Newark Valley and Gretchen Van Gorder of Endicott, his mother, Mrs. Herbert Van Gorder; two sisters, Mrs. Alberta Chandler and Mrs. Clara Chaffee, all of Athens; one brother, Kenneth Van Gorder of Barton, and several nieces and nephews.

Edwin D. Grow, 61, of Springville, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Sept. 2, 2002 at Tyler Memorial Hospital, Tunkhannock.
He was born to Lois A. (Wilbur) Grow and the late George M. Grow, who passed away in 1975.
Edwin was a member of the Springville United Methodist Church, an honorary member and former fire chief for the Springville Volunteer Fire Company. He liked camping, hunting and traveling and he loved to help his neighbors and friends.
His wife, Beverly (Way) Grow; daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Thomas Krishak; granddaughters, Allison, Kayla and Kristi Krishak; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Alyne and John Horn, Marlene and Edward Pompey, all of Springville; nephews and nieces survive Ed.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 5 at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, Montrose, with Rev. Edwin A. Simmons of the Lemon United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Lynn Cemetery, Springville Township. Visitation was on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday at the funeral home.
