ALLENTOWN, PA. -- Mabel Snover, 96, formerly of Stewartsville, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at the Manor Care Nursing Home, Allentown.

Born on Oct. 14, 1908, in Stewartsville, she was the last of 13 children born to the late Emery and Nancy Deats Gunderman.

Her husband, John C. passed away in 1990. She has lived in Allentown for three years. Prior to that, she lived in Stewartsville nearly all of her life. Mabel was a homemaker. Memberships: She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Stewartsville.

She is survived by two sons, Ernest of Lopatcong Township, Kenneth of Bethlehem, Pa.; a daughter, Joyce Amore of Allentown; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Two sons, Stanley and Karl A., and a grandson, Karl, Jr., all died earlier.

Funeral services were by the Rupell Funeral Home, Phillipsburg. Burial was in Stewartsville Lutheran Cemetery, Stewartsville.

A resident of the Phillipsburg and Stewartsville area all of her life, at one time Doris worked as a clerk for the former Woolworth Co. in Easton. She was also a homemaker.

She is survived by a foster daughter, Diane Gordon of Tobyhanna, Pa.; a foster grandson, Leslie Carter and his wife Miranda of Forks; and two great-grandchildren, Quin and Alexandra Carter.

A brother, James L. Hoag, passed away in 1974.

Funeral services were held in the Rupell Funeral Home, LLC, 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg.
