Eleanor Rose Wilson, age 95, of College Park, MD passed away May 23, 2007.

Eleanor was born June 23, 1911, in Blossburg, the daughter of Elwood and Mary Rose. She was married to the late Thomas J. Wilson.

Eleanor graduated from Mansfield State Teacher?s College in 1933 and taught in the Blossburg schools for seven years before marrying and moving to Washington, D.C. She continued her teaching career for 23 years retiring in 1974.

Before moving to Washington, she was an active member and Sunday School teacher at the Blossburg United Methodist Church and a charter member of Twilight Chapter #475 O.E.S. in Mansfield.

She is survived by her son Robert Wilson (Joan) of Edgewater, MD, her daughter Mary Ellen Yankowy (Thomas) of College Park, MD, her sister Kathryn Rose Whittaker of the Green Home, Wellsboro, her grandchildren Karen Salehi (Mack), Thomas Wilson (Theresa), Scott Yankowy (Leslie), Shannon, Amanda and William Yankowy, great-grandchildren Colin, Corianne and Matthew Wilson and Emily Salehi.

Family and friends will be received at Freeberg Funeral Home, Blossburg, Wednesday, May 30 from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jason Guillaume officiating. Interment will follow at Arbon Cemetery.
