Mr. Turnbull was the son of George and Ida Turnbull and was born in Indiana January 26, 1891. When only a small child he came with his parents to Michigan and has since resided in this locality. On January 4, 1917, he was united in marriage to Bessie Clements who survives. Besides the widow he leaves a daughter, Verna Lucille, the mother, Mrs. Ida Turnbull, and a brother, Norman, all of near Vantown.

Oramus A. White, eldest son of Rodney A, and Rebecca White, was born in Vevay township, Ingham county, May 5, 1858. When just a small child he moved with his parents to Mason, where he had since resided. At the death of his father, while serving in the Civil War, he went to live with his uncle and aunt, George and Deborah Shafer, where he grew to manhood. On October 6, 1890, he was united in marriage to Loretta Garrison. To this union were born eight children, four of whom died in infancy. Last fall he began failing in health and gradually failed until he was confined to his bed last Monday, passig away on Wednesday, May 7, at the age of seventy-two years and two days. He was a devoted husband and father, always doing all that he could for his family and having a pleasant smile and a cheerful word for everyone. Besides his wife there survives four children, Ethel of Kalamazoo, Lucille of Detroit, and Bernice and Kenneth of Mason; also a brother, Ralph White, of Albion; a half sister, Mrs. Lancy English, and a half-brother, Horton English, both of Midland, besides a host of relatives and friends.
