Phoebe A. Dean were married on 6 November 1870 in Brownstown, Wayne, Michigan.
1 He died on 26 March 1880, at age 33, in Washtenaw County, Michigan.
1,3 Andrew Warboy was born and raised on a farm in Michigan. At the age of 17 he enlisted in Company C, 9th regiment of Michigan Infantry and was discharged in September 1865 in Nashville, Tenn, at the end of the Civil War. He later met and married Phoebe Dean in 1870 at Brownstown, Mi. (which later was absorbed into The City of Flat Rock). Like many Civil War veterans he suffered from the effects of drinking contaminated water and unsafe food. Andrew and Phoebe had three young children, Claude, Lottie and Adelbert. Phoebe died at the age of 26 and Andrew at 32. The two older children, Claude and Lottie were taken in by relatives and retained their Warboy name, but no one claimed Adelbert (then about 4 years old). The family doctor that "rode that circut", Dr. Gregg, suggested that William and Caroline Jones (childless) take Adelbert..and since The Doctor lived with the Jones's, he would help them raise him. When Adelbert went to school he started using the Jones surname and dispite that there was no formal adoption, he used that name the rest of his life...and passed it on to his descendents. The Jones's were good parents.
