Westly F. Logeman was born on 19 March 1927 in Worth, Boone, Iowa.1,3,2 He and Ruby Jane Pine were married on 1 June 1947 in Mason City, Cerro Gordo, Iowa.4 He died on 25 February 2007, at age 79, in Northwood, Worth, Iowa.1,3 He was buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, Cerro Gordo, Iowa.4

Westly Fred Logeman, 79, of Northwood, died on Sunday, February 25, 2007, at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, March 3, at the Northwood Baptist Church, Northwood, with Reverend Robert W. Luebbert officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City. Visitation was held from 5-7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 28, at the Conner Colonial Chapel, Northwood. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to service time on Thursday at the church.

Westly Fred Logeman, was born on March 19, 1927 in rural Manly, the son of Fred and Ruth (Godfrey) Logeman. He received his education in the rural Manly country schools. After his schooling, Westly helped his parents on the family farm in rural Manly.

He was united in marriage to Ruby Pine on June 1, 1947, in Mason City. After their marriage they moved north of Mason City where they began farming. They also farmed at different locations in the North Iowa area for many years. Westly began driving truck for Carroll George Inc. in Northwood as well as working part time for the Worth County CO-OP in Northwood.

He enjoyed horses, fishing, having coffee with his friends at the Corner Post Restaurant in Northwood, and being with his friends and family.

He was a member of the Northwood Baptist Church in Northwood and former member of the Izaak Walton League in Kensett.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ruby Logeman of Northwood; children, Karen Feddersen of Charles City, Betty Matz and her husband, Claude of Vancouver, Washington, Cindy Dirks and her husband, John of Mason City and Don Logeman and his wife, Martina of Mason City; nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Vivian Balek and her husband, Jim of Mason City; as well as other relatives and friends.

Westly was preceded in death by his parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Vera Mae and Frank Waychus.
