She had taught at the Delaware (N.J.) and the Washington (N.J.) elementary schools.

While a student at East Stroudsburg State College, one of her poems was chosen for inclusion in "The Anthology of Poetry," published by the National Poetry Foundation. In addition, several of her poems were published in "Ideals" and the "Grade-School Teacher" magazines. She was author of the book "Something Will Come from Somewhere," published by MacCallum House.

Born in Portland, she was a daughter of the late Griffith J. and Annie (Evans) Davies.

She was a member of Portland- Mount Bethel Community Presbyterian Church.

Surviving with her husband are three daughters, Kathy Ann Premore, at home, and Mrs. Debby Bell and Mrs. Sandy Davidge, both of Portland; two sisters, Mrs. Vivian Grendler of Hawthorne, N.J., and Dr. Evelyn A. Of Bloomington, Ind., and a grandchild.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Riverview Cemetery, Portland. There will be no calling hours. The Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington St., East Stroudsburg, is in charge of arrangements.

Helen S. Predmore, 80, of Mount Bethel, died Thursday, at Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of the late Lawrence L. Predmore, who passed away Feb. 19, 2001.

Born on Dec. 26, 1920, in Nolton, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Russell and Eva (Allen) Shuster.

A 1939 graduate of Blairstown High School, she worked for 16 years at Marquette Automotive.

An avid crafts person, she enjoyed making and selling her crafts at many local craft fairs. She also enjoyed collecting Longaberger baskets.

She was a member of Delaware Presbyterian Church, Delaware, N.J., and the Post Card Club, Delaware Water Gap.

Surviving are one daughter, Jane Sandt of Tatamy; two sons, Ralph C. Predmore and Larry Predmore, both of Mount Bethel; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one great grandson.

A memorial services will be held at - p .m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at Delaware Presbyterian Church, Delaware, N.J. The Rev. James Lyman will officiate. Burial will be in Hainesburg Cemetery, Hainesburg, N.J.

Mrs. Anna D. Predmore of 587 N. Courtland St. East Stroudsburg, widow of Roy P. Predmore, died yesterday in her home. She was 81.

A native and life long resident of East Stroudsburg, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Lydia (Marsh) Detrick.

Surviving are three daughters, Helen Predmore and Mrs Irma Titus, both of East Stroudsburg, and Mrs Jeanne Christman of Stroudsburg; two sons, Harold R. of Denver, and Harley D. of East Stroudsburg; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Lanterman Funeral Home, East Stroudsburg. Viewing will be 7-9 p.m. tomorrow.
