1 Merrill Louder, 70, of Draper, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Draper. Burial will be at Draper Cemetery.
Merrill was born on December 23, 1938, in Pierre to Donald and Lois (Rankin) Louder. He grew up in the Draper area attending country schools and Draper Public Schools graduating in 1957.
He was married to his wife Helen on September 26, 1959, celebrating 50 years three weeks ago. He spent his adult life farming and ranching.
He is survived by his wife Helen; his son, Rob (Penny); his mother, Lois; two brothers, LeRoy (Cindy) and Garry (Madeline); two step-grandchildren and one step-great-granddaughter; plus special kids Kendra, Ryan and Desiree and a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his son, Rodney, father, Donald and his grandparents.

Rau, Robert F. (Bob) Ann Arbor, MI Bob Rau, 77, beloved husband and father, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2006 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. Bob Rau was born on October 17, 1928 in Ypsilanti, MI and has remained a lifelong resident of the Ann Arbor area. Bob graduated from Roosevelt High School in Ypsilanti in 1947; in August of that same year he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served active duty for three years and an additional three years as a reservist at Selfridge Air Base. On October 23, 1948 Bob Rau was married to Jacqueline Sue Eddings at the First United Methodist Church of Ypsilanti. In addition to his family he had two loves, one of airplanes; he flew his first student flight at age 12 and also built and flew model R/C airplanes. His other love was photography. He loved taking pictures and was an avid collector of antique cameras. Bob Rau was employed for 10 years with Argus Camera as a Photographer and Camera Designer after which he went to work as an Optical Designer for the University of Michigan. Bob Rau was most recently employed by ERIM where he processed radar imagery; he re tired from ERIM in 1992 as a Senior Technical Photographer. He joined the First United Methodist Church in Ypsilanti when he was 12 and remained a member all his life. He was a member of many clubs and organizations including; The Society of Antique Modelers (S.A.M. 40 Club), the Academy of Model Aeronautics and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. Survivors include his wife Jacqueline Sue Rau, two sons; Robert S. (Carolyn) Rau and Richard S. Rau, five grandchildren; Roxanne, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Robert F. Rau II and Nicholas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan E. and Lena M. Rau, as well as his sister Marguerite Paloski. The family will receive friends at the First United Methodist Church of Ypsilanti, 209 Washtenaw Ave., on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 from 4-8 p.m., visitation will continue at the church on Thursday, June 29th from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Pastor Melanie Carey officiating. Burial will follow at Washtenong Memorial Park, Ann Arbor. Arrangements completed by the Nie Family Funeral Home.
