Betty was introduced to George 'Roy' when her brother Herbert Wayne Talbot Jr. brought his co-worker home for dinner one night.
Betty worked for school cafeterias when the children were young. Worked part time at some of the local department stores and as secretary for the Downey First Methodist Church. She finally worked for Bank of America in Pico Rivera, CA. She continue to work for the bank after being diagnosed with cancer until her retirement. She continued to fight the cancer but after 10 years of remission it returned and took her life.
