Mary L. (Speicher) Hargreaves, 81, of Kennetta Lane, Palmerton, formerly of Slatington, died Monday at the Gnaden Huetton Nursing Home, Leighton. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret McGuire Speigher. She was a housewife and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton and Former Assumption BVM, Slatington.

Surviving are her sons, George J., Robert G. and John, all of Palmerton; and William J. of Walnutport; 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; and sister Catherine Conahan, Wilkes-Barre. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter H; and sons James, Thomas and Charles.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Assumption BVM Catholic Church, Slatington. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Harding-Fox Funeral Home, Inc. 25-27 N. Second St., Slatington. Memorial donations may be made to the Assumption BVM Catholic Church, 649 W. Washington St., Slatington, 18080.

The funeral of Mrs.Bessie FROW, wife of Dr. James M. FROW, who died Wednesday night in East Orange, NJ, will be held from the funeral parlors of Undertaker Luther Kniffen on Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. FROW was a graduate of Wilkes-Barre City Hospital Training School for Nurses, graduating with the class of 1910. She was married 31 July 1912. She was active in Red Cross circles and was chairman of Elizabeth City (VA) Chapter of that organization.

There is a stone for Bessie, but none for Peter or Sarah.
The burial lot is near a tree in the right center of the cemetery just at the top of the hill.

Note: Dr. James R. FROW, M.D., was a doctor at the Hampton, VA Soldiers Home and may be buried there. He never remarried after Bessie's death.
