He was 66 years and 2 months and 14 days old. He was the second son of William and Clara Bartholic. He spent his boyhood on the home farm and in 1901 was marred to Clara Goodrich. To them was born 4 children. Albert Brown, George Henry, Margaret Emmaline and Melvin Wesley. All of whom with the wife survive him. He moved to Kankakee from the farm 18 years ago. He was employed by the Chicago Hardward Foundry Co. in North Chicago until a year ago when his health failed. He spent last winter in Mississippi in a vain endeavor to regain his health. He returned to his home in May and was given every care by a loving wife and children.
