Duane Gale (Jim) Goodrich was born on 18 July 1933 in Kankakee, Kankakee, Illinois.1,2,3 He and Jean (Jeanie or Buttercup) Claire Poyer were married on 7 June 1958.4 He died on 22 April 2008, at age 74, in Douglas, Cochise, Arizona.2,3 He was buried in Kankakee Memorial Gardens and Chapel Mausoleum, Kankakee, Kankakee, Illinois.2

Duane Gale "Jim" Goodrich, 74, of Douglas, Ariz., father of Limestone residents, died April 22, 2008, in Douglas. Memorial visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Asbury United Methodist Church in Kankakee with a 7 p.m. wake service. The Rev. Steven Goodin will officiate. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, where he was a member.

Mr. Goodrich was retired from General Foods, where he was a production worker for more than 33 years. He was born July 18, 1933, in Kankakee, the son of Robert S. and Della Witham Goodrich. His first wife, the former Jean Claire Poyer, whom he married June 7, 1958, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Kankakee, is deceased. He was a 3rd Ward alderman in Kankakee, a township trustee and a volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953-1957. He was a coach and board member of the Kankakee Lions Little League and the Kankakee Elks PONY League for a total of more than 20 years.

Surviving are his wife, Linda; two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel Thomas and Jodi Goodrich, Thomas Dorman and Cheryl Goodrich, all of Limestone; one stepson, Pete Gagnon of Atlanta, Ga.; one stepdaughter, Kimberly Boehmann of Kentucky; three grandsons, Andrew Goodrich, Zachary Goodrich and Nicholas Goodrich; and two stepgrandchildren, Jenny and Parker Gagnon.

Deceased are his parents; two daughters, Diane Gale Goodrich and Myrna Kay Goodrich; and one brother, Robert D. Goodrich. (Pd.)

She and Duane Gale (Jim) Goodrich were married on 7 June 1958.1 She died on 19 September 1997, at age 60, in Kankakee, Kankakee, Illinois.1 She was buried in Kankakee Memorial Gardens and Chapel Mausoleum, Kankakee, Kankakee, Illinois.
Jean (Jeanie or Buttercup) Claire Poyer was a Kankakee County- Jury Commission.1 Visitation for Jean Claire ''Jeanie'' or ''Buttercup'' Goodrich, 60, of Kankakee, will be from 5 p.m. Monday until the 7 p.m. services at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes. The Rev. Leah Pogemiller will officiate.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley or to her grandchildren's education.
Mrs. Goodrich died Friday (Sept. 19, 1997) at her home, following a long illness.
She was born Sept. 1, 1937, in Kankakee, the daughter of Dorman L. and Myrna Tallman Poyer. Her parents and two daughters, Diane and Myrna Kay Goodrich, are deceased.
Surviving are her husband, Duane ''Jim'' Goodrich, whom she married June 7, 1958, at Asbury United Methodist Church; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Jodi Goodrich of Kankakee and Tom and Cheryl Goodrich of Chebanse; two grandchildren, Andrew and Zachary Goodrich of Kankakee; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Janet and Ed Tyrrell of Arvada, Colo., Jane and Jeff Higgins of Denver, Colo., and Joanne and Richard Greene of Chesterfield, Mo.; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and two beloved aunts and uncles, John and Eileen Tallman of Bourbonnais and Pat and John McDonald of Michigan.
She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church for more than 40 years.
Mrs. Goodrich was a 28-year employee of Kankakee County and headed up the jury commission. She always had a friendly smile and sweet hello.
She was treasurer of the Kankakee Elks Pony League for 20 years.
A member of a bridge club for almost 40 years, she was an avid Die Hard Cubs fan. Bless her. She enjoyed people, sons, grandchildren and husband. (Pd.)
