1 Visitation for Jean Claire ''Jeanie'' or ''Buttercup'' Goodrich, 60, of Kankakee, will be from 5 p.m. Monday until the 7 p.m. services at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes. The Rev. Leah Pogemiller will officiate.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley or to her grandchildren's education.
Mrs. Goodrich died Friday (Sept. 19, 1997) at her home, following a long illness.
She was born Sept. 1, 1937, in Kankakee, the daughter of Dorman L. and Myrna Tallman Poyer. Her parents and two daughters, Diane and Myrna Kay Goodrich, are deceased.
Surviving are her husband, Duane ''Jim'' Goodrich, whom she married June 7, 1958, at Asbury United Methodist Church; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Jodi Goodrich of Kankakee and Tom and Cheryl Goodrich of Chebanse; two grandchildren, Andrew and Zachary Goodrich of Kankakee; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Janet and Ed Tyrrell of Arvada, Colo., Jane and Jeff Higgins of Denver, Colo., and Joanne and Richard Greene of Chesterfield, Mo.; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and two beloved aunts and uncles, John and Eileen Tallman of Bourbonnais and Pat and John McDonald of Michigan.
She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church for more than 40 years.
Mrs. Goodrich was a 28-year employee of Kankakee County and headed up the jury commission. She always had a friendly smile and sweet hello.
She was treasurer of the Kankakee Elks Pony League for 20 years.
A member of a bridge club for almost 40 years, she was an avid Die Hard Cubs fan. Bless her. She enjoyed people, sons, grandchildren and husband. (Pd.)
