Elmer Lohman, 85, of Mount Bethel, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2002, in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Gertrude (Jewell) Lohman. They observed their 56th wedding anniversary on Aug. 10. Born on Sept. 27, 1917, in Johnsonville, he was the son of the late Chester and Ethel (Messler) Lohman.
Until his retirement in 1979, he was a brakeman for the DL&W Railroad in Bangor. He was also a part-time police officer in Upper Mount Bethel Township during the 1960s; and a security guard at Bangor High School, Upper Mount Bethel. He also enjoyed doing custom butchering at many of t he farms in the area. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Stone Church .
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Marie Lohman o f Stroudsburg; one sister, Myrtle Dietrich of Nazareth; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Lohman.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, at Reed/Gaffney Funeral Home, - Lillian Lane, Johnsonville. Burial will be in Centreville Cemetery, Stone Church. Calling hours will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m . Wednesday, Dec. 18, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ , 612 S. Delaware Drive, Mount Bethel, PA 1 8343; or Mount Bethel Volunteer Fire Company, Mount Bethel, PA 18343.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myrtle Dietrich ( Nazareth, Pennsylvania), born in Portland, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 3, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Myrtle L. Dietrich, 91, of Nazareth, PA, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 3, at Country Meadows, Bethlehem, PA.
Myrtle was born in Portland, PA, on Feb. 13, 1928, and raised in Johnsonville, a daughter of the late Chester and Ethel (Messler) Lohman.
She was the widow of Donaldson B. Dietrich who passed away in 1982. Myrtle was employed as a floor worker at Country Miss in Forks Twp., PA, until retiring in 1988. She was a 1946 graduate of Bangor High School and a graduated from Allentown Cosmetology School. In the 1950s she owned and operated her own beauty salon in South Bangor. Myrtle enjoyed cooking, baking, her family history, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was a member of St. John's UCC in Nazareth, P A.
Myrtle is survived by two daughters, Maryann Cimino, and husband John, and Ellen Incontrera and husband Frank; three grandchildren, Christina and Gina Cimino and Nicholas Incontrera, and several nieces and nephews. S he was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer and Ralph Lohman.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 2 p.m. at Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Lillian Lane "Village of Johnsonville," Bangor, PA, with Rev. David Felker officiating. Friends and family are invited to call from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sep t. 7, at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the St. John's Cemetery, Bangor, PA. Gertrude E. Lohman, 93, of Stroudsburg, PA, formerly of Mt. Bethel, PA passed away Tuesday, October 18th, at her residence. Gertrude was born in Bangor, PA on May 30,1923, a daughter of the late Raymond and Mary (Kline) Jewell. She was the widow of Elmer Lohman, who passed away in 2002.
Gertrude was a 1941 Graduate of Bangor High School. She was employed at t he former Steckel's Jewelry Store in Bangor, PA, until retiring. She wa s a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Mt. Bethel, PA.
Gertrude is survived by a daughter, Marie Lohman, of East Stroudsburg, PA, a cousin, nieces, nephews, her devoted caregivers and the staff of Pocono Health System VNA Hospice. She was proceeded in death by a sister Zelda White, 4 brothers; Harold, Jack, Bob, and Dick Jewel.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, October 24th at Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Lillian Lane, "Village of Johnsonville", Bangor, PA with Rev. David Felker officiating. Friends are also invited to call 10 - 11 AM on Monday, October 24th at t he funeral home. Burial will be held at Centreville Cemetery, Mt. Bethel, PA.

Georgia Lou Meyer, age 61, of Fostoria, died November 9, 1979, at Lapeer County General Hospital.
Georgia Meyer was born November 9, 1918 at Grayson,Virginia, the daughter of John and Bessie (Little) Byrd. She married Herman Meyer at Mayville on Dec.6, 1941 and he passed away Nov. 30, 1977. Mrs. Meyer was a cook at the Suncrest
Nursing Home, Lapeer, for 22 years and was a member of Fostoria Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, John of Fostoria and Herman LeRoy of Lapeer; a daughter, Mrs.Betty Howley of Burton; two brothers, Carl Byrd of Burlington, N.C. and Edward Little of Virginia of Burton; I1 grandchildren; two brothers, Carl Byrd of
Burlington, N.C. and Edward Little of Virginia; and a sister, Ola Crigger of Utica,N.Y.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 12 at the Fostoria Baptist Church, at 2 p.m. Pastor Fred Kinkle officiated and burial was at Watertown Cemetery. Arrangements were by Blackmoreand Tubbs Funeral Home, Inc.
