She was born March 26, 1907, in Pike county, daughter of Jacob and Fannie Crump Hohe. She married Allen Rose on Dec. 23, 1925. He died Dec. 31, 1967.
Survivors include two sons, Paul of Pittsfield and Larry of Griggsville; a daughter, Mrs. Anna May Cooley of Independence, Mo.; a brother, Joseph Hohe of Spokane, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Rachel Darby of Anderson, Ind.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sutter Funeral Home with the Rev. Francis Sheppard officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

3 Paul "P.A." Allen Rose, 87 of Pittsfield passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. P.A. was born on August 12, 1927 in Pittsfield, a son of the late Allen L. and Velma F. Hohe Rose. He married Carole Adams in 1972 in Jacksonville she survives.
In P.A.'s earlier years he was a cook on different vessels in the Merchant Marines. After leaving the Merchant Marines he joined the United States Army and served from 1946-1948 as a heavy truck operator. He was a member of the International Teamsters Union Local #15 since 1967. He worked for Prairie Farms in Springfield and Galesburg for several years until he moved back to Pittsfield in the mid 1960's. He retired from Skelgas after 25 years of delivering propane to customers. He enjoyed woodworking and making crafts of all kinds after his retirement. He was also a carpenter and helped build his house on Monroe Street on the same property where he was born. P.A. loved to visit with people and loved going to Catering & More, McDonald's and Cardinal Inn for coffee. He was a family man and loved spending time with his grandchildren and was anxiously awaiting the birth of two more great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Carole; two sons, Brad Rose of Taylor, MI and Gregory Lyons of Nokomis, IL; two daughters, Paula Rose of Waverly and Karen (Chuck) Stephenson of Griggsville; fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren; a brother, Larry (Karen) Rose of Griggsville; a sister, Anna Mae Cooley of Pittsfield in addition to several nieces and nephews.
P.A. was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers-in-law, Junior Cooley, Harold, Robert, Charles and John Adams and one sister-in-law, Mary Rose.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield with Pastor Glen Hammons and Rev. John Ruzich officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, March 24, 2015 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Pittsfield with military honors being accorded by Pittsfield American Legion Post #152 and military funeral honor guard.
Memorials are suggested to be made to Senior Services of Pike County. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.nieburfh.com. The Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield has been entrusted with the service.

Imagene was born in Pittsfield on July 29, 1926, a daughter of Burtrand Brown (B.B.) and Edna Roxena Rose Westlake.
She married Robert Rowe in Hannibal, MO and he preceded her in death. Imagene married her second husband, Kenny Fisher and he also preceded her in death.
Imagene attended the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Pittsfield. She was known as the hardest working woman in Pike County. She mowed yards in Pittsfield and around Pike County for many years and received a “Lawn Mowing” award for her hard work and dedication. From a young age she raised, trained and loved her horses. She tended a grove of walnut, chestnut and pecan trees and spent many hours cracking and shelling the nuts to sell. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming and gardening. She had a tender heart for all animals and loved each and every animal. Imagene loved music and played the piano for the residents at the nursing home where she lived.
She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Ruth (Rowe) Brown and husband, Bruce Brown and Barbra Jo (Rowe) Mott; two grandchildren, Mayme (Rich) Mott Goetze and Robin (Eric) McKillop; one great-grandchild, Mattea Mott; special nephew, George Balsman in addition to several other nieces and nephews.
Imagene was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Burtrand Jr. Westlake; two sisters, Mary Alice Balsman and Elyvon Doyle and her two husbands.
There will be no visitation or services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with interment of ashes in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
The Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield has been entrusted with the service.

Mr. Gail H Rose, 62, of Ashland died at 1:57 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Hospital.
He was born Jan. 23, 1928, in Pittsfield, the son of Daniel and Mary Ethylene Ellis Rose.
Mr. Rose was a member of Ashland United Methodist Church and Ducks Unlimited. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Hall Hagler Chapter 15, Springfield.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; one son, Rick of New Berlin; two daughters, Michelle Rose of Ashland and Mrs. Keith (Gailla) Freeman of Johnson City, Tenn; one grandaughter; two brothers, Daniel of High Falls, N.Y. and Jean of Independence, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Darrell (Kay) Dunham of Pittsfield; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ashland United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Ashland City Cemetery.
