The youth drowned in the James River near his home on Wednesday, June 19.
The children's choir sang "Jesus Loves Me" and the congregation sang "Children of the Heavenly Father" and "Beautiful Savior", accompanied by Mrs. Eugene Neuman, organist.
Pallbearers were Patrick Gunderson, Clarence Habeck Jr., Raymond Habeck and Lowell Schott.
Wesley Todd Reber was born November 6, 1968, in Aberdeen and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his parents, two sisters, Peggy and Rethea, both at home; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Sarah Reber, Groton; and stepmother, Mrs. Stella Cool, Webster.

Mr. Phelps died Thursday at a Mitchell hospital. He was born Oct. 10, 1904 at Ethan to Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Phelps and married Alma Hasselbring on April 1, 1923 at Mitchell. After farming in the Alexandria area, they moved to Howard for a year before moving to Bridgewater in 1943 where he worked as a mechanic. He retired 12 years ago. His wife preceded him in death in 1970. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Shirley) Marken, Bridgewater and Mrs. Leon (Darlene) Freeburg, Jamesville, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. Glen Preston, Springdale, Ark. and Mrs. M.J. Schmdzel, Phoenix, Ariz.; and eight grandchildren.
