Clarence Vernon Wintermote was born on 14 January 1911 in Butler County, Kansas. He and Winnie Florence Harrison were married on 7 September 1931 in Wichita, Sedgwick, Kansas. He died on 4 April 1970, at age 59, in Thermopolis, Hot Springs, Wyoming. He was buried in Riverside Cemetery, Thermopolis, Hot Springs, Wyoming.1

THERMPOLOIS, Wyo. Clarence V. Wintermote, 59, died Saturday in Memorial Hospital from a hert attack. Mr. Wintermote was born Jan. 14, 1911, in Kansas, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Row Wintermote. He married Winnie Harrison on Sept. 7, 1931, in Witchita, Kan. They came to Thermopolis in 1954 where Mr. Wintermote was employed as a welder. Mr. Wintermote was a member of Elks Lodge No. 1746. Survivors include his widow; one son, Stan, El Centro, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Janice Snyder, Sidney, Neb., and Mrs. Verna Burrows, Billings, Mont.; two brothers, Roy, El Dorado, Kan., and Leonard, Flint, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs. Cliff Whitson and Mrs. Frances Harrison, Benton, Kan., and Mrs. Dora Tuber, Witchita; and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday from First Baptist Church with the Rev. Barley M. Pulis officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Chambers: Funeral services for C. E. Wintermote were conducted on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. on July 27th, 1968 in the Memorial Baptist Church, by the Pastor Rev. Earl F. Schwank, using as his message: "The Uncertainty of Life," James 4:13-15, and John 3:14-21 as accompanying scripture. Music was furnished by Miss Kathy Taylor at the organ and who also accompanied a Young Peoples Quartette comprised of the Misses Judy and Jane Garwood, David and William Schwenk singing two hymns, "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder" and "Beyond the Sunset." Ushers were William Turner and George Rowse. Mrs. Duane K. Miller was in charge of the register, and Mrs. Esther Wood, Mrs. Kenneth Werner and Mrs. Donald Mikkelson cared for the many lovely floral tributes. Paulbearers were Donald Mikkelson, Duane K. Miller, Edwin Hubbard, Jim Jarman, Lyle Watson and Kenneth Werner. Honorary pallbearers were Fred Catron, Charles Wright, Steve Shavlik, Eric Dankert, William Reninger, and Kenneth Adams. Biglin's of O'Neill had charge of the funeral arrangements, and interment was made in the Chambers Cemetery. Graveside scripture was 1st Peter 1:3-9.
Clarence Everett Wintermote was born at Shamrock, near Chambers, Nebraska on August 2, 1897, the son of Martin L. and Cemira Ann (Dorothy) Wintermote. He departed this life at 8:45 on Wednesday night July 24, 1968 at St. Anthony's hospital in O'Neill at the age of 70 years, 11 months and 22 days. Mr. Wintermote moved from the Chambers area to Orin Junction, Wyoming at the age of 16 years. He later had a homestead there. He was united in marriage to Cleona Harkins at Douglas, Wyoming on November 19, 1917. (They clebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary last November). One son, Lloyd, was adopted on August 29, 1930. Later two sons were born to Mr. and Mrs. Wintermote: Leonard and Arthur. Mr. Wintermote moved from Orin Junction to Morse Bluffs, Nebraska in 1935, where he engaged in work as a blacksmith for one year. He moved from there to Chambers where he engaged in blacksmith work until retiring in 1962. He was active in community affairs, serving on the town board for 3 years; the school board for 16 years, and the Fire Department for many years. He was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Cleona; their three sons: Lloyd of Kearney, Leonard of Pender, and Arthur of Des Plains, Illinois; two granddaughters: Norma and Janet Wintermote of Kearney, Nebraska; Two brothers: Audra Wintermote of Riverton, Wyoming and Joyce of Crawford, Nebraska; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.

Biography

Danny Dean Crane Ratliff was born on 11 August 1941 in Lusk, Niobrara, Wyoming. He and Leslie Fisher were married on 27 May 1989 in Golconda, Humboldt, Nevada.1 He died on 26 September 2011, at age 70, in Reno, Washoe, Nevada. He was buried Cremated.21
Danny Dean Crane Ratliff was a Mine Laborer.1 Danny Dean Ratliff, 70, died Sept. 26 at the VA Hospital in Reno, Nev.

Ratliff, son of Zella (Wintermote) and James B. Ratliff, was born in Lusk on Aug. 11, 1941.

He started first grade in Morton, attending all 12 years there and was graduated from Morton High with the Class of 1960. During high school, he lettered in track and football.

Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving for four years on the USS Ranger in communications. In that capacity, he received the ship's message upon the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

Mr. Ratliff worked in the Gas Hills and for Midvale Irrigation before he moved to Nevada to work in the mines there.

While in Fremont County, Mr. Ratliff was a volunteer firefighter for the Pavilion and Midvale Fire departments.

He married Leslie Fisher in Nevada in 1989. She preceded him in death on May 3, 2011.

Mr. Ratliff is survived by his daughter, Brandy Whala and her husband, John; his mother, Zella Ratliff of Riverton; sisters, Geraldine "Gerry" Dewey and husband, John, of Riverton and Billie Hardy and husband Doug of Choloride, Ariz.; brother, Larry Ratliff of Cheyenne; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dog, Taffy.

He was preceded in death by his father, James B. Ratliff; grandparents, Elsworth V. and Rachel M. Wintermote of Douglas and J.W. and Mellie Ratliff of Ethel, Mo.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Albertsons Funeral Home in Winnemucca, Nev.

Arrangements are by Albertsons Funeral Home, 47 West 1st St., Winnemucca, NV 89445. He was adopted on 5 April 1948 in Douglas, Converse, Wyoming.
