He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-1956. Marvin was employed by the Buick Motor Division for 32 years, retiring in 1982 and belonged to the UAW Local # 599. He then worked at Disney World in Florida for 10 years. Surviving are: wife, Vivian; 2 sons and 3 daughters, Denice (Lynn) Johnson of Mt. Morris, Allan Pearson, Wayne Pearson, both of Clio, Laurie Pearson, Janine (Leslie) Edenburn, all of Mt. Morris; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Gerald (Theola) Pearson; 1 sister, Edna; 1 sister-in-law, Jean Peasron, all of Port Huron; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by 3 children, Sharon Pearson, Larry Pearson and Tracy Ann Pearson; 7 brothers and sisters.

Rev. Bruce W. Pearson
1919 - 2009
Former District Superintendent, Rev. Bruce W. Pearson, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 8. A celebration service honoring Pastor Pearson was held Friday, November 13 at Faith Missionary Church, Flint.
Born in Snover, MI, Bruce grew up in Port Huron and married his high school sweetheart, Margaret, at the age of 19. The two had two daughters, Barbara and Beverley, and were married 64 years before she preceded him in death in 2003.
Answering God‘s call into ministry in 1944, Bruce and his family moved to Indiana where he attended Fort Wayne Bible Institute. In 1947, he began pastoral ministry at the Dartmouth United Missionary Church, Flint. He also pastored the Brown City and Faith, Flint, Missionary Churches. From 1958-64 and 1983-1991, he served as District Superintendent for Michigan. After retiring as District Superintendent in 1991, he became Pastor Emeritus at Faith Missionary Church, Flint.
In addition his duties as pastor and District Superintendent, he was President of the Brown City Camp Board and a member of the Bethel College Board of Directors for 14 years, five of which were as Board Chairman. Bruce also became the Founding President of the Michigan Missionary Loans and Investments, which continues to serve churches and members throughout the Michigan District.
Bruce had a passion for personally visiting both parishioners and the non-churched. One year, he recorded over 1,000 pastoral calls! He always demonstrated a heart of love and compassion for people. His life‘s call was summarized by Romans 10:15, ?How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.?

Pearson, Rev. Bruce W. (1919-2009)
Bruce W. Pearson was born near Snover, Michigan, on August 5, 1919. He graduated from Port Huron High School in 1938. At the age of 16 he met Margaret, the love of his life, and married her when they were both 19 years-old. For five years Bruce worked as a lineman for Detroit Edison while he and Margaret started their family. Daughters, Barbara and Beverly, were born during this time. In 1944 the Lord spoke to Bruce about full-time ministry and he moved his family to Indiana where he attended Fort Wayne Bible Institute. His college years also found him pastoring the Taylor Chapel Methodist Church. In 1947 he began his ministry in the Michigan District, serving for five years at Flint‘s Dartmouth United Missionary Church (now Dayton Heights Community Church) and then six years at Brown City Missionary Church. In 1958 he became District Superintendent and served for six years before becoming pastor at Faith Missionary Church, Flint. He pastored Faith church for 19 years and was once again elected, in 1983, to serve as District Superintendent. In 1991 he retired from the D. S. position and returned to Faith where he served as Pastor Emeritus. Margaret preceded him in death on April 18, 2003. Through the years, Pastor Pearson served in many capacities within the District and Denomination including: Secretary of the Michigan District, Overseas Mission Board, President of the Brown City Camp Board, Michigan District Youth Director, member of the Bethel College Board for 14 years (five years as Chairman), and the founding President of Michigan Missionary Loans and Investments. He is survived by his daughters, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He will be remembered by the District as a pastor to the pastor who led by example. He was a man of integrity and compassion.
The Flint Faith Missionary Church had set up the Pastor Bruce and Margaret Pearson Memorial Fund to be used to fund scholarships for ministerial students. MML&I made a contribution of $5,000.00 to that fund in memory of the Pearsons who faithfully served MML&I for so many years.

The Michigan District of the Missionary Church
Rev. Bruce Pearson went home to be with the Lord on November 8 at the age of 90. Pastor Pearson faithfully served the Michigan District both as a pastor and as the District Superintendent. He pastored at Missionary Churches in Flint and Brown City and served 14 years as Superintendent in Michigan. A funeral celebration was held November 13 at Faith Missionary Church, Flint, where Bruce was Pastor Emeritus.

Aylmer- William Pearson of 55 York Street, Aylmer died suddenly at his home on Monday.
He was born in Corinth 49 years ago and lived most of his life in the Aylmer area. He was an employee of the Carnation company in Aylmer for the last 27 years and was a member of the St. Pauls United Church in Aylmer. A World War II veteran, he was a member of the Colonel Talbot (Branch 81) Royal Canadian Legion. He was also an active bowler. Son of the late Lionel Pearson and the former Pauline Ferguson of Toronto. He is survived by his wife the former Velma Grace Wright, one stepson, John McPhail of London, one stepdaughter, Barbara McPhail at home, one brother, Donald Pearson of Toronto; three sisters, Mrs. Douglas (Evelyn) Lawrie and Mrs. Richard (Beverley) Chittenden, both of Toronto, Mrs. Walter (Eileen) Kensit of Florida and one grandchild.
Resting at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home 119 Talbot Street East, Aylmer, where services will be held. Thursday, Feb. 6, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Allan Logan of St. Pauls United Church officiating. There will be a Royal Canadian Legion ceremony on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 8 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Aylmer Cemetery.

ZELMA GRACE PEARSON
Zelma Grace (McPhail) Pearson 62, of 55 York St., Alymer, died on Saturday, April 28, St. Thomas Elgin Hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Pearson was born in Ingersoll on Feb. 23, 1917. She moved to Aylmer in 1952 after residing previously in Iona Station. She was employed as secretary treasurer of the Aylmer Public Utilities commission from 1955. She attended St . Paul's United church and was past president of the Iona W omen's Institute, and past secretery of the Ladies Auxilliary of the Colonel Talbot Branch, Royal Canadian Legion
Mrs. Pearson was predeceased by her first husband, John Duncan McPhail in 1960 and her second husband Wm. M. Pearson in 1969.
She was the daughter of the late Freeman and Mary (Hogarth ) Wright. She is survived by son: John McPhail of London, daughter, Barbara McPhail at home; brothers Charles Wright of Guelph and Harry Wright of Windsor and sisters, Vera Leigh of Chatham, Mrs. Donald (Marion) McKillop of Southwold Sta tion, Mrs. Clifford (Marguerite) Brown of Willowdale, Mrs . Howard (Pauline) Bawden of Windsor, and Mrs. Ivan (Helen ) Beecroft of Iona Station.
She is also survived by one grandaughter. The funeral was held Tuesday, May 1, from the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home with Rev. Norman Jones of St. Paul's United Church officiating. Burial was made in Aylmer Cemetery. Members of the Aylmer Legion conducted a memorial service on Monday, April 30.

Donald Pearson of 17 Red Water Dr., Rexdale, passed away at Etobicoke General Hosptial on Tuesday,
May 12 1981 in his 55th year. Born at Corinth June 7 1926, he was a son of the former Pauline Ferguson of Toronto and the late Lionel Pearson. Surviving are his wife the former Ilene Baxter; one son, Randy Pearson of Toronto, a grandaughter, Leslie Ann Pearson; his mother, Mrs. Pauline Pearson of Toronto, and three sisters, Mrs. Douglas (Evelyn) Lawried of Toronto, Mrs. Walter (Ilene) Kensit of Florida and Mrs. Richard (Beverley) Chittenden of Weston. He was predeceased by a son Gregory Pearson in 1979 and by a brother William Pearson. Donald married Beatrice Ilene BAXTER on May 29, 1947 in Corinth, Ontario, Canada.
