MRS. JOHN HUBBARD PEARSON (Irene Thompson)
The death occurred at her residence on the 9th concession of Bayham on Thursday, March 3rd, 1938, of Irene Pearson, following a short illness. She was in her 63rd year and was born in Malahide, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Seth Thompson. She had lived on the farm where she died for the past forty years and was loved and respected by the whole community. Mrs. Pearson was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church.
She is survived by her Husband; four sons, Delmer, at home ; Ithmer Pearson, Ingersoll; Mahlon Pearson and Lloyd Pearson, Corinth; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Hazel) Tribe, Ingersoll. Also by three sisters and seven brothers; Mrs. Dan Pearson, Corinth; Mrs. W. Fowler, Delaware: William Thompson, Malahide; John Thompson, Malahide; Cecil Thompson, Tillsonburg; Emerson Thompson, Windsor and Clarence Thompson , New Sarum.
The funeral was held from the late residence on Monday March 7th. Rev. C.C. Strachan had charge of the service, during which the hymns, "What a Friend we have in Jesus" and "Safe in the arms of Jesus" were sung. Mrs. Jackson and Mrs . Hayward also sang a duet, "No Tears in the Sky" accompanied at the piano by Maryll Fewster. Relatives and friends were present from Ingersoll, Bayham, Malahide, Dorchester , Windsor, New Sarum, Delaware, Port Burwell, Tillsonburg , Port Huron Michigan, Toledo Ohio and Snover Michigan. Interment took place in the family plot in the Aylmer Cemetery.
