Halsey Lawrence Beemer were married on 7 January 1846. She died on 5 November 1879, at age 60, in Koshkonong Township, Jefferson, Wisconsin.
DIED
BEEMER - At her home in Koshkonong last
evening Mrs. H. L. Beemer, of cancer in
the 68th year of her age.
The deceased was sister of Miss S. Winter-
mute of this place. She and her husband
were among the pioneers of this section.
They settled at an early day on the beauti-
ful piece of land where they have since lived
and where established a model home. Their
hospitable house has been open to hundreds
of guests in the past forty years and not one
of them all will learn of the death of its
warm hearted and generous mistress with
out a pang of genuine sorrow.
We hope to be able to give a more expand-
ed notice hereafter.

Obituary of John (Wesley) Wintermote- Provided by Naomi Brown
John Wintermote was born near Dayton, Ohio December 1, 1824 and died March 27, 1899, aged 74 years, 3 mo., 26 days. He came to Iowa in 1855 and purchased his present home site in David County, Iowa (Mt. Zion District) where he has since resided. He was married to Martha Ann Dunn, Randolph County, near Winchester, Indiana on October 30, 1856. He brought his bride to his Mt. Zion home (south-west of Ottumwa, Iowa).
He leaves his wife and five children. John Wintermote joined the Mt. Zion Methodist Protestant Church 1860 and helped found and was a charter member. At the time of his death was a pillar and faithful member of the Mt. Zion Church.
Funeral servicews were held at the Mt. Zion Church, the beautiful church he loved so well on March 29, conducted by the writer to a large and sympathizing congregation. Thus a good man has gone to his reward.

Private funeral services were conducted at St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Internment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery, San Jose.
Mrs. Wintermute was the widow of Dr. Charles E. Wintermute, and the mother of Mrs. Ray Walker of Madison, Wis. Besides her sister, Mrs. Kelsey, she leaves a brother, the Rev. E. W. Burleson, of Samuels, Idaho.
