Mr. Smith, 37, was working in a field on his father's farm, Rt, 7, Newark, when the accident occurred.

The son of Char;es Agnes M. Ashcraft Smith. He was born May 11, 1927, in Perry Township.

He was a member of the Reform Farm Bureau Council and belonged to Hanover Grange.

Surviving besides his parents are his widow Irma T, Giorge E. Smith; three sons, Gordon, Gary and Glenn, of the home: a sister, Mrs. James Marse of Newark: and two brothers Carl D. and Dale E. of Rt. 7, Newark.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p,m today.
