Robin Denise Tiller-Newton, 44, who did accounting and administrative work for a number of Northern Virginia businesses in the 1970s and 1980s , died May 29 at her home in Vienna. She had amyotropic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

Ms. Tiller-Newton, who was born in Meshoppen, Pa., grew up in Vienna and graduated from Madison High School. She attended Northern Virginia Community College, Benjamin Franklin University and George Mason University. Her employers included Pinpoint Publishing in Chantilly, Crusty's Bakery in Merrifield and Pitts Accounting in Vienna. Her interests included gardening and cooking.

Her marriage to H.L. Phillips ended in divorce.

Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Bruce M. Newton of Vienna; t wo daughters from her first marriage, Rachel Denise Terry of Centreville and Rebekah Leah Phillips of Front Royal, Va.; her parents, Robert N. , and Lois J. Tiller of Lake Anna, Va.; a sister, Lori Sue Tiller of Vienna; a maternal grandmother, Helen L. Shupp of Tunkhannock, Pa.; and a granddaughter. Kenneth Judson Bigelow Jr. Cabinetmaker.

She was a loving wife, nurturing mother and a selfless grandmother , sister and friend.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Frank, her son, Bryce and daughter-in-law, Lee, her daughter, Audra, grandchildren Ashlyn, Jordan, Brittany and Hailey; her siblings, Lois Janet and Wayne and her loyal companion . Zeus.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Wayne was an avid gardener and golfer who was a member of Trussville Country Club. When you tee it up on your next round think of Wayne.
