John Frederick Ball was born on 2 May 1864 in New Jersey.1,2 He and Myra Estella Neff were married about 1888.3 He died in 1936, at age ~72, in Ledgewood, Morris, New Jersey.4,2 He was buried in United Methodist Church Cemetery, Succasunna, Morris, New Jersey.2

Early settler of Roxbury Township, which was incorporated in 1798 arriving there from PA. He loved being a farmer and bought a large farm in Ledgewood after a brief employment at Hercules Powder Co. in Kenvil, N.J. He and his beloved wife, whom he called "Stella" had 6 children and were founding members of the First Baptist Church of Ledgewood, N.J. He now rests in plot # 174 with other family members.
