Calvin H. Wintermute “Papa”, 60 of Gloversville died Tuesday December 25, 2012 at the Albany Medical Center in Albany. He was born on December 16, 1952, the son of the late; Howard and Ellen Case Wintermute.

He attended Oppenheim Ephratah Schools and worked at Richardson Brand Co. in Canajoharie for over 30 years until his illness. He was a member of the Gloversville Moose Club and enjoyed football and various outdoor activities.

He was a caring and loving father and grandfather. He was predeceased by his first wife Shirley Wintermute on July 12, 2008.

Survivors include his wife Michele Obermann Wintermute whom he married on July 28, 2012. Five children; Tammy (Matthew) Capano of Gloversville, Corbett (Terry) Mureness of Gloversville, Amy (Shane) Chamberlain of Mayfield, Tanya (Sean) Wintermute of Fort Plain and Sara Wintermute of Gloversville. Five siblings; Janie (Larry) Johnson of Johnstown, Howard Wintermute of Ovid, NY, Mike (Carol) Wintermute of Gloversville, Margret (Kenny) Becker of South Carolina and Sherman Case of Alaska. Three step-children; Josh Jonker of Texas, Matt Jonker of Cherry Valley and Kyle Wilson of Schenectady.

He is survived by: his father Howard Wintermute of Ovid; his siblings, Rob Wintermute of Ilion, NY, Karla Presnell (James) of Phenix, AL and Jodi Polley (Scott Allen) of Ilion, NY; his children, Mackenzie, Seth, Sarah, Rayghen and Callie; and his close friends, Todd Uresti and Jeff Boblin.
