(Snyder) Wade Geiser, 97, of Elverson, PA formerly of Pottstown, wife of Ralph Geiser of Pottstown, died Friday at the home of her daughter in ElversonBorn in Limerick twp., PA, she was a daughter of the late Laura (Simmons) Snyder and Harry G. Snyder. Mrs. Geiser was employed by the Pottsgrove School District as a custodian from 1964 until she retired in 1980. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Pottstown. Mrs. Geiser is survived by her husband, two daughters, Gladys W. wife of John Troop, Elverson; Gloria W. Skora, Kenilworth; one son, Russell P. husband of Mary Wade, Boyertown; two brothers, John L. Snyder, Pottstown; Douglas E. Snyder, Boyertown; two sisters, Dorothy S. Schmidt, Pottstown; Mildred E. Moyer Gibson, Boyertown; six grandchildren, Thomas Stimson, Douglassville; Daniel Troop, Columbia, SC; David Troop, Warwick twp; Douglas Troop, Douglassville; Stephanie Hoffa, Boyertown; Loriann Wade, Brooklyn, NY and nine great grandchildren. He was the beloved husband of Alice (Ecker) Snyder.Born April 13, 1925, in New Hanover, he was the son of the late Harry G. and Laura (Simmons) Snyder.John was retired from Doehler Jarvis Inc. in Stowe. He was a veteran of World War II, having served on the USS Astoria in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He was also a member of the Stichter Lodge No 254 Free & Accepted Masons, Pottstown. John enjoyed hunting, gardening and the outdoors and was a lifetime member of Frontier Archers, Pottstown and a charter member of the Pike Township Sportsmen's Association, Oley.Surviving with his wife of 69 years are daughters Sandra Lloyd, wife of Galen, Charlottesville, VA, and Susanne Loal, wife of Peter, Hudson, Ohio.
