teenager.....Dolph & Ann lived in Port Bruce, not far from where my grandfather's family was living, and they
visited often.

The Blenheim Tribune Wednesday, July 4, 1951
On Monday morning, again fate dealt a blow when Lonso Dennis simply known as "Shorty" Dennis died in his bed. "Shorty" lives at 355 E. Adams, Detroit, with an elderly gentleman whom he called "Uncle Leon Vance." Mr. Vance was also here for the holiday at the cottage and was the one who discovered the tragedy. "Shorty" had worked quite hard after the rain on Sunday evening when his place became flooded due to a faulty road drain. The village was certainly shocked as word got around that he had passed away following a heart attack.
