CONGDON, Frances Rachel - Age 83, of Lapeer, passed away at Lapeer Regional Hospital July 20, 2007. She passed peacefully and was surrounded by her family. Frances was born December 10, 1923 in Lapeer to Howard and Myrtle (Wilson) Congdon. Frances was a graduate of Lapeer High School, class of 1942. She was also active in the community, and was a member of the Towne and Country and other local card and civic groups. She is survived by: sons, Howard and Craig Congdon; daughter, Carolyn Breckenridge; grandchildren, James (Boom) and Dorothy Breckenridge, Jennifer Breckenridge, Stefanie Congdon, Kristina Congdon, Sally Bohunicki; brother and sister-in-law, John W. and Anne Taylor; also numerous great grandchildren and may friends and family. She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Howard Edmond Congdon; her sister, Eleanor Thompson; and granddaughter, Kimberly Breckenridge. Funeral service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, Capstick Chapel, 542 Liberty Park, Downtown Lapeer, Tuesday 2:30 PM. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Lapeer.
