Duford - Mazallia M. Duford, 1010 E. Boulevard Drive, age 66, died Wednesday, July 6, 1955, at the residence. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 A.M. Friday, July 8, 1955, from Chapel of the Chimes, Brown Funeral Home, Rev. Paul Hart officiating. Burial in Crump, Michigan. Mrs. Duford will lie in state at the Brown Funeral Home, 1616 Davison Road. Death was due to complications, following a long illness. She was born in Bay County, Michigan, June 4, 1889. Lived in Flint the last 14 years. Surviving are: 7 daughters. BENZONIA - Clifford Duford, 89, of Benzonia, died Sunday, March 20, 2011,at Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital Long Term Care. He was born in Mills Twp., Midland, on July 7, 1921, the son of Antoine and Mazallia Mae (Dennis) Duford.

On June 8, 1942, Clifford married the love of his life, Maxine G. Corey. He was a devoted husband for 68 years.

He enjoyed gardening and often gave vegetables and fruit to friends in the community. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Clifford was a school bus driver for Benzie Co., and after retirement he delivered for Meals on Wheels to area residents.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine; sons, Ron (Diane), of Thompsonville, and Allen (Lynne), of Hoffman Estates, Ill.; daughter, Patricia (Dale) Phillips, of Hopkinsville, Ky.; seven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sisters, Mazallia (Gene) Guiles and Faith (George) Connell.

He was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 8, at the Sunlife Wesleyan Church in Beulah, with Pastor Ken Blair officiating. Burial will be in Joyfield Twp. Cemetery.

Flint. Answering his country's call,, George served in the U.S. Army. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Thursday, September 26, 1996 at the Groves Chapel, Hansen Funeral Home, 421 N. Main St., Pastor Harold M. Walsh officiating. Cremation will follow at Sunset Hills. Those desiring may make contributions to the Shriner's Children Burn Center. Family will receive visitors from 1-4 and 6-9 PM Wednesday with a Masonic Memorial Service being conducted by Masonic Lodge #54 F& AM at 7PM Wednesday evening.
