I have a copy of their marriage license and on the back of gives parents of the bride and groom, their birthplaces, and birthdays. It lists Harriet's mother's name as Martha McCannel. Harriet's obituary says that they moved to LaSalle Co., Illinois when she was a small girl and grew to womanhood. I have not been able to find them in the US Census in Illinois in 1880, but found them in the 1850, 1860, and 1870 in Luzerne Co, PA. After their marriage A. N. and Harriet moved to South Dakota. Here they had 3 sons. One died at the age of 17 of an accident with a ball, my Grandfather who died in 1929 from Pneumonia leaving his wife with 11 children to raise by herself. The third son was a chemist for the Pet Milk Laboratories in Greenville, Illinois. My father was the 4th child of the 11 and is still alive today at the age of 87.
